Wild Horse Youth Challenge Mustang Days was developed to showcase the versatility of the Mustang. Wild Horse Youth Challenge is a two day event. Showmanship, Trail and Freestyle.

Through fun competition at the Mustang Showcase & the Wild Horse Youth Challenge, we hope to entertain and educate, as well as bring awareness to the needs of Mustangs. Youth ages 9 - 18 from across Kansas and neighboring states are chosen by application process in April. Once chosen and c**t is picked up, their goal is to gentle and ground train Weanling or Yearling wild c**ts and return to the Kansas State Fair where they compete in 3 classes. Trainers have the option to adopt their c**ts for $25 or put them up for adoption via live bid at the end of competition. We are modifying as we grow so stay tuned and follow our page!

Wow, a week since move in, hard to believe another year of WHYC is in the books!
I would like to thank all of you that accepted and completed the challenge and say I am super proud of you all for overcoming so much and changing the life of a horse forever.
In April, 25 trainers accepted the challenge, 21 attend the event and 19 completed it!
Thank you to all of our local sponsors that make this event possible as well as BLM and the Kansas State Fair. Seriously, we could not do this with out you!
Now to thank the many volunteer hands that are the wheels and cogs at the event, it takes a village and I am thankful to be a part of this amazing village. From the judges & judges in training, announcers, gate worker, data entry, awards coordinator, hospitality, photographers, event set up and tear down, the adult trainers that were willing to lend and hand and some courage to the trainers struggling, the parents that stepped in with willing hands and those that took us live on FB in the spur of the moment. I must not forget, thank you to the graduates that returned to do opening ceremony and exhibitions. You all blessed me & the program big.
My goodness, this program has been blessed.
I am sure everyone is looking forward to seeing all the photos, and I am excited to get them posted! I just completed getting them into category folders and just as soon as someone can tell me how to post a plethra of photos on FB, I will get them to posted. LOL.
