Subject: Friendly Reminder: Please Wait for Your Pick-Up Notification!

Dear Clients,
We love seeing your excitement to reunite with your pups, but we have a very important safety request: Please wait until you receive an official notification that your dog’s grooming session is complete before entering the shop. When you walk in unexpectedly while your dog is still on the table, a few things happen instantly:

* Your dog recognizes you, gets wildly excited, and starts doing the happy dance.

* We are currently holding razor-sharp shears and high-powered blades millimetres away from that suddenly wiggling, dancing pup.

* A quick finish-up transforms into a high-stakes, suspense-filled exercise in extreme precision.

To keep your pets safe and looking their best, our groomers need a calm environment right up until the final snip. Please also respect the full timeframe given at drop-off. If we estimate a 3-hour appointment, please refrain from calling us at the 1.5 to 2 hour mark—or right on the dot at hour 3. That timeframe is an estimated window, not a countdown timer. Stopping to answer progress-check calls while mid-groom, only delays the process!
We promise to text or call you the exact moment your fur baby is un-fluffed, completely finished, and ready for cuddles.

**To all our furry clients and their humans**
We love you, but our front door is a "No P*e Zone!" 🚫💦

We love being a part of this community and being the best groomer for your dogs! However, we kindly ask that you ensure your pets do not urinate on our front door or storefront.
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming entrance for our customers is incredibly important to us. We would hate to send you out with a mop and bucket for clean up 😊
Thank you for your cooperation and helping us keep our business looking and smelling its best!

We had a client come in today and bring his doodle for her regular haircut. This client requested a summer cut. We suggested going a little longer on the legs since a short cut isn't what they usually get. He agreed. When the groom was complete, he picked up the dog and rescheduled for the next appointment.
20 minutes later, the wife called. She was screaming and yelling into the phone that we weren't professional and didn't cut the hair appropriately. She said they have been to many different groomers and they have never cut her dogs hair that short for a summer cut. (Mind you this is the regular summer cut that has been the same length since before I was even grooming 30 years ago.) I told her this is the normal length of a summer cut and the dogs legs were left longer. Through all the yelling and verbal abuse she was throwing out, needless to say, she was fired and all future appointments were canceled. The dog looked amazing by the way!
By that time its clearly not the groomers fault but lack of communication between owners on what cut is desired.
My suggestion is this.....Be on the same page as the person dropping off your pet. Because we do as owner requests. Lack of communication between owners is not our fault.

Just want to remind all clients that if you have not received a text message or phone call stating that your pet is ready for pick up...there is a 100% chance that your pet is not ready to go. All early pick ups without notification are subject to unfinished grooms at full price.

It's that time of year again for those dreaded fleas! What pests they are!
Prevention is your best form of defense!
We recommend a vet visit for internal flea medication such as Nexguard or Bravecto.
It is a sure fire way of making sure your pet is parasite free.
If your pet comes in with a flea infestation, we will have to reschedule the appointment until the flea problem can be taken care of. We cannot and will not risk the spread of fleas to other pets in the salon. If your pet comes in with minimal fleas that we have found during the grooming process, your pet will be given a mandatory flea bath. That is a 20$ cost on top of the groom.
Likewise, if your pet has been skunked, that information needs to be presented at time of scheduling or the appointment will need to be rescheduled.
