The Double R Pointers!

I still think English Pointers are underrated as house pets. Yes they love and need to run but in my experience they are clean, have a great off switch in the house, may be on the skittish side but are great with kids, not agressive but more submissive in more ways than not, and have a goofy personality that is quite comical. Of the 7 we own, compared to the 4 vizslas, the english pointers were easier to house break and be trusted in the house unsupervised. They are phenomenal bird dogs and spoiler, my EPs love to retrieve and can all swim! Depending on genetics ive noticed the biggest variety is the range at which they like run.
Don't let that old timer image of a sloppy, kennel dog that only gets out to hunt fool you. The english pointers have hearts of gold and if your lucky enough, they will let you have the whole thing.
