Lucy works even through the rain of hard times, she never gives up and that’s our why! Competing off her new horse Titan over the weekend was successful 🔥 couldn’t be more proud of them🤩🤍
🤠 Riverfront Roundup 2026 Recap!
So incredibly proud of my Lucy Jane this weekend! ❤️
This weekend looked a little different, as she jockeyed TWO new horses and navigated every hiccup with grace, determination, and a willingness to learn. Showing up to rodeo without your partner, the one you know like the back of your hand, and having to take loss after loss while still giving it your all every single time is something I admire most about my girl. 🥹
She LOVES this sport, and she LOVES her horses. While she sure missed her girl Trashy this weekend, she still had some pretty big wins! 🐴❤️
🔥 BARRELS: The biggest win of the weekend was Lucy’s FIRST OFFICIAL RUN on Titan! These two have been working hard to get to know each other, and let’s just say that process has come with its fair share of tears of frustration (on BOTH their parts, I’m sure 😂). But this weekend, all that hard work started paying off with TWO CLEAN BARREL RUNS! 🙌🏻 They also came away with a list of goals to work toward before Battle by the Bay, and we can’t wait to see what these two accomplish together!
💫 POLES: Borrowed the sweetest boy, Pickles🥒 While they weren’t her fastest or cleanest runs, I’m so proud of her for adjusting to a new partner, taking everything in stride, and learning with every run. That’s what it’s all about!
🐐 GOAT TYING: Another successful weekend with everyone’s favorite girl, Clarabelle! 🩷 They have some new goals to work toward before the next event, and we’re excited to see them keep building on their success!
Was this Lucy’s best weekend ever? Nope. Did she have to work through some frustrating moments? Absolutely. But she LEARNED, ADJUSTED, and KEPT FIGHTING. 💪🏼 And honestly, that’s a win in itself!
This was the first rodeo in a while (if you know, you know 🙁❤️) that my girl didn’t leave feeling defeated. Seeing her walk away with lessons learned, a smile on her face, and the determination to keep going means more than any time on the clock ever could. Rodeo isn’t always about the buckles or the runs that go your way. Sometimes it’s about the grit it takes to get back on, trust the process, and keep showing up. And that’s exactly what she did. So dang proud of you, Luc!
And none of this would be possible without our AMAZING rodeo family. The way these kids show up for one another, cheer each other on, and help each other through the hard stuff is something we could ALL learn from. This rodeo family is something special, and we’re so thankful to be a part of it. 🫶🏻
A few special shout-outs to some of our rodeo family:
💕 Aubree — Thank you for letting Lucy be your shadow and steal EVERYTHING from your horse to your food and clothes! 😅😂 She loves you so much and is beyond lucky to have you to look up to and call a friend. Thanks for being someone she can learn from, laugh with, and just be a kid around. 💖 Rodeo W/ Aubree White
💕 Lena — Thank you for every helpful tip, every hour-long drive to help her work through things, all the borrowed equipment, and, most importantly, the pep talks. Your time, patience, and encouragement mean more than you know! 🫶🏻 Lena Morandi
💕 Leslie (aka her second-favorite mom 😂) — Thank you for securing the sweetest Pickles for the weekend! 😜🥒 We appreciate you more than you know! Leslie Breen Milby
💕 The Clow Family — Thank you for trusting Lucy with Pickles for the weekend! He is seriously the chillest guy, and we ALL fell in love with him. 🥒❤️ We’re so grateful you shared him with us!
Here’s to learning curves, new partnerships, good friends, and remembering WHY we love this sport so much. The road isn’t always easy, but we’ll keep showing up, keep learning, and keep fighting! 💗🤠
Next stop: Battle by the Bay! 🌊 🐴
