A new tradition was born at the festival—and people loved it! 🧶
Folks started bringing their spinning wheels to Kim, and before long, Jensen’s Spinning Wheel Repair became more than a place to get a wheel working again. It became a gathering place.
Every time I walked by the shed, there were people gathered around—talking wheels, sharing knowledge, troubleshooting, and swapping stories about the traditional art of spinning. It was exactly the kind of thing I love seeing happen here.
So in 2027, the Repair Shop shed will be OPEN again!
Grab those old wheels. Bring the one that squeaks, wobbles, won’t draft quite right—or the beautiful old wheel you’ve been afraid to touch—and bring it along to Texas Wool Week.
And while you’re here, don’t forget to book a class and brush up on your spinning techniques. There’s always something new to learn, even with an art this old.
Keeping the wheels of tradition turning. ❤️🐑
