📞🐟 “Hello? Yes, this is fish. I’d like to report a suspicious individual lurking outside my tank.” 😂

Cats and aquariums—a relationship built on curiosity, temptation, and one very nervous fish.

Fortunately, a secure aquarium lid can help keep curious paws where they belong: outside the tank.

Because at Trident Aquariums, we believe your fish should be admired…

not considered takeout. 😹🐠

🐠 IS YOUR FISH TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING?

Fish can’t exactly knock on the glass and file a complaint. 😂 But changes in their behavior can sometimes be an early clue that something in their environment needs attention.

Watch for changes like:
- Suddenly hiding more than usual
- Gasping or spending unusual amounts of time near the surface
- Clamped fins
- Rubbing or flashing against objects
- Loss of appetite
- Unusual aggression
- Swimming differently or becoming unusually inactive

The important word is change. Every species—and every individual fish—has its own normal behavior. Getting familiar with what’s normal in your aquarium makes it much easier to notice when something seems off.

💙 Your fish may not have a voice, but their behavior can tell you plenty.
Seeing something unusual and not sure what it means? Ask Trident Aquariums. Tell us what you’re noticing, and we’ll help you figure out what to check.

💦 Your aquarium needs cleaning. It does NOT need an exorcism.

When it’s time for tank maintenance, it can be tempting to scrub everything, replace everything, and make that aquarium look brand new.

But your aquarium isn’t supposed to be sterile—it’s a living ecosystem. 🐠

Beneficial bacteria play an important role in keeping your tank healthy and stable, which means good maintenance is about balance, not starting over every time you clean.

Partial water changes, properly conditioned water, careful filter maintenance, and regular observation can go a long way toward keeping your aquarium—and its residents—happy and healthy.

And remember: every aquarium is different. If you’re unsure about your maintenance routine, ask Trident! We’re happy to help.

Clean what needs cleaning. Protect what’s working. 🌊

🐱 Every aquarium has a security system.

Some are just a little more… hands-on. 😂🐟

At Trident Aquariums, we can help you create a beautiful aquarium your fish will love—and your cat will consider premium entertainment.

Just remember: look with your eyes, Mr. Whiskers. Not with the paws. 😹

YOUR FISH ARE LYING TO YOU!

🐟 They saw you. They’re swimming toward you. They look absolutely STARVED.

They’re not. 😂

Fish are very good at convincing us that they desperately need just a little more food. But overfeeding is one of the most common aquarium mistakes—and all that extra food can cause bigger problems than a fish with a flair for the dramatic.

Uneaten food breaks down in the tank, affecting water quality and potentially contributing to higher ammonia and nitrate levels, cloudy water, and algae growth.

And remember: different fish have different nutritional needs. The right food and the right amount can make a big difference in keeping your fish healthy and your aquarium thriving.

Not sure what—or how much—you should be feeding your fish? Ask Trident! Tell us who’s living in your tank, and we’ll help you figure it out.

Healthy fish. Healthy tank. And no, Gary, you are NOT starving. 🐠😂

🐠 We’ve all been there…

Running late, took a wrong turn, GPS sent you in circles… apparently fish have the same problems. 😂

Although, in his defense, navigating a fishbowl with one castle, one plant, and one dinner table can get complicated.

Wherever your fish are headed, Trident Aquariums is here to help make sure they have a great place to come home to. 🌊

Happy fish. Happy tank. No GPS required.

🐠 Your aquarium has water in it… but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ready for fish!

One of the most common mistakes with a new aquarium is adding fish before the tank has had time to establish the beneficial bacteria needed to keep the water safe.

That’s where cycling your aquarium comes in. During the cycling process, beneficial bacteria develop that help convert harmful ammonia and nitrite into less harmful nitrate. It’s an important step—and one that definitely shouldn’t be rushed.

We know waiting isn’t nearly as exciting as picking out your new fish. 😉 But a little patience in the beginning can make a big difference in the health and stability of your aquarium.

Not sure whether your tank is ready? Ask us! We’re always happy to answer questions and help you get your aquarium off to the right start.

Right fish. Right tank. Healthy aquarium. 🌊🐟

🐠 Not every fish makes a good roommate!

That beautiful fish you’ve been eyeing might look perfect for your aquarium—but looks aren’t the only thing that matter. Tank size, temperament, water conditions, habitat needs, and the other fish already living there all play a role in whether a new addition will thrive.

Before adding a new fish to your aquarium, do a little homework—and ask us questions about the fish you’re interested in! We’re happy to help you determine what may work well in your tank.

Because the goal isn’t just a beautiful aquarium. It’s a healthy, happy underwater community. 💙🐟

Right fish. Right tank. Happier aquarium.

25 years later, we remember.

Today, Trident Aquariums joins our nation in honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and all those whose lives were touched by that day.

We also remember what followed—the courage, compassion, and unity of Americans who stood together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years have passed, but we will never forget.

In remembrance. In honor. In unity.

“Harold… did you order something online?” 📦🐠

Every aquarium owner knows the feeling…

You tell yourself, “The tank is finished. I don’t need anything else.”

Then somehow another filter, plant, decoration, light, or piece of aquarium equipment shows up at the door. 😂

Meanwhile, the fish are like:

👀 What did you buy for us THIS time?

At Trident Aquariums, we fully support your completely reasonable and absolutely necessary aquarium obsession. 😉🌿🐟
