Southern Dream Retrievers
Huntsville, Tx
As breeders, we inevitably get the call no matter how well we vet folks…”Would you be willing to take the dog back? We no longer have time for him.” The answer is always, “Absolutely.”
About 3 months ago, I got a dog back. It was soon very evident he had had very little done with him and had spent most of his life in a kennel. Heartbreaking for me, to say the least. Took a few days, but he soon started to look very happy, wag his tail and occasionally give an excited bark..music to my ears. That brings us to now. Boone is looking for his new forever home. He is a big, beautiful chocolate. DOB 11/14/22. He is extremely loving and kind. Gets along well with all of the other dogs. He will go to a pet home only. We have gotten him to retrieve in water (his favorite) and chase a live bird on land; however, I’m not sure that he will make a gun dog…possibly with someone who is very committed to the process. He is very obedient, basically a big teddy bear. He is clean and quiet in his kennel; however, he has never been in the house, although I believe he would transition easily. He is very well bred. Parents have had all health testing and OFAs. UTD on vaccines, worming and heartworm prevention. Microchipped. He will be placed with a neuter contract unless I can get this done beforehand. I will be very particular about where he goes because he deserves only the best. Rehoming fee applies. Please contact me directly at 325-280-3430 if you think he might be a fit for your family.
