These blue babies have sparked a lot of questions! 🩶 I thought I’d share a bit about how dilution works, why all four puppies ended up blue, and some of the considerations that come with the color. While their coats are beautiful, there’s so much more that goes into breeding and placements than what a puppy looks like. 🐾

4 days old and growing beautifully! Everyone has officially surpassed 1 pound. 💕

We started ENS and ESI yesterday, and today the puppies will get their very first nail trim! 💅

So far everyone is nursing well, meeting their daily gains, and Eevee is keeping things wonderfully nurtured and quiet. 💖

I know when I was researching breeders, I appreciated being able to see the behind-the-scenes details of how puppies were being raised. While every breeder does things a little differently, I thought it might be helpful to share our setup and give a glimpse into where these puppies are spending their first few weeks. 🩷

I am so thrilled to have my very first litter at The Shire! It only felt fitting that my “A” litter theme be Adventure. This litter marks the beginning of a long-awaited dream for me, and the start of many adventures for these sweet puppies.

Eevee also decided to make her own adventure by delivering all four puppies in record time! 😂 We’re thrilled that all four arrived safely and are off to a wonderful start. We’re so excited to watch these little explorers grow and discover where their journeys ahead will lead.

🐾The puppies are here!! 🐾

We are thrilled to announce that Eevee welcomed 4 beautiful babies in the wee hours of the morning: 3 girls and 1 boy. She delivered them like they were on a slip n’ slide with the first and last pup arriving just 46 minutes apart!

Eevee also surprised us with an all-dilute litter: four ✨shiny✨ lil Eevee’s. Since each puppy had only a 50% chance of being dilute, the odds of all four being dilute were just 6.25%!

We’ll be sharing formal introductions over the next few days, but for now our focus is on mom and babies as we all rest and recover. Eevee has been an incredible first time mom and has made this entire process seem effortless. I am so proud of my sweet girl and completely overwhelmed with love for these four precious little bbs. 💕

Eevee had her xray this morning! We are expecting 4 puppies in one week! 💕

Our hearts are so full of anticipation. We’re praying for an easy whelping and for healthy, safe arrivals for both mama and all four lil babies. 🐾

The countdown is officially on and we can’t wait to meet these little ones so soon! ❤️

She’s got that pregnancy glow✨

I bought an ultrasound machine to monitor the puppies and her pregnancy (and also because I was too impatient to wait 30 days to confirm pregnancy at the vet 😂)

It’s been so fun to watch these lil potatoes grow! They sure are moving and rocking around in there! Less than a month to go 💗
