Hey, I wanted to reach out with an update and to thank everyone that has been so patient with me as I navigate my recent medical chaos. Also, I sincerely apologize to anyone that has fallen through the cracks lately with missed appointments or poor communication. And for those super confused, I was diagnosed with generalized epilepsy shortly after I took the reins from Willow in 2022. Originally my seizures were more predictable, and I had friends and family either entering the work force or kind of chasing their new career; so, it was win/ win, with me getting a short-term driver and them getting paid to drive me and use the appointment times to track down job opportunities. However, this time around two of my previous drivers have successfully found their career paths, and the other one has two under two. Also, we are having a much more difficult time getting my seizures under control this time so I’m not sure how long I am going to be unable to drive.
This brings me to my other reason for reaching out… I am looking to hire a new team member. Ideally, I would like to find someone with a little experience pulling a trailer (lack thereof isn’t an immediate disqualification, it’ll just require a few hours of unpaid driving training with me coaching from the passenger seat) and someone with interest or experience grooming. Between: kids at home, medical nonsense, and general life, I had mostly backed down to only grooming two days a week, but had the potential to fill, at minimum, three more. So, this feels like the ideal time to have someone new drive me, and with the opportunity to meet all of our amazing clients and become familiar with each of the special pups. It also allows them to learn how everything works and begin building their clientele so that as soon as they’re comfortable, they can start working the other two or three days until my driving restriction is lifted (six months seizure free) at which point they can add to their days.
