🐾💙 Honoring a Very Special Member of the Community! 💙🐾

Huntley Veterinary Hospital is proud to support K9 Musil of the Sandwich Police Department and her handler and partner, Sergeant Meisner.

K9 Musil is a hardworking narcotics and tracking K9 who serves Sandwich and surrounding communities throughout the county. We are honored to play a small part in keeping her healthy and ready for the job. 🐕‍🦺💙

As part of our sponsorship, Huntley Veterinary Hospital has donated veterinary services, vaccines, and bloodwork to help ensure Musil stays in top health while performing her important duties.

We are also incredibly grateful to Elanco for graciously donating Musil’s year-round monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventative. Your generosity helps protect this hardworking K9 and allows her to continue doing what she does best!

A very special THANK YOU to K9 Musil and Sergeant Meisner for their dedication, partnership, and service to our community. The bond between a K9 and her handler is truly something special, and we are honored to have them part of the HVH family! 💙🐕‍🦺

Stay safe, Musil and Sargent Meisner! Keep up the great work!

🐶🎉 Happy National Dog Day! 🎉🐶

Today we celebrate the ones who greet us like we’ve been gone for 10 years… even if we only went to the mailbox. 😂

The ones who think every delivery is a personal gift, every walk is an adventure, and every meal we eat should obviously be shared. 🦴🍗

And let’s not forget their special talents:
🐾 Stealing the warm spot on the couch
🐾 Turning “5 more minutes” into a 2-hour nap
🐾 Hearing a cheese wrapper open from three rooms away
🐾 Providing unconditional love… in exchange for treats. 😉

At Huntley Veterinary Hospital, we love celebrating your four-legged family members every day! ❤️

Drop a photo of your favorite furry friend in the comments and let us know: What makes your dog the BEST dog? 🐕👇

Beginning on June 1st, we will no longer be able to approve prescription requests submitted by external online pharmacies, including companies such as Chewy and 1-800-PetMeds.
This decision was made with your pet’s safety and the quality of care we provide in mind. Over time we’ve seen repeated issues with outside pharmacies—incorrect medications or dosages, long and unpredictable approval and delivery delays, lost prescriptions, and other problems outside our control. These situations can cause stress for you and disruption or risk for your pet’s treatment. Moving prescriptions to our hospital’s online pharmacy allows us to ensure correct fulfillment, faster approvals, reliable deliveries, and immediate support if any issue arises.
As a convenient alternative, we invite you to use our hospital’s online pharmacy for your pet’s medications and prescription diets. Our online pharmacy offers pricing comparable to the online retailers many of you already use, along with frequent promotions and discounts. Most importantly, prescriptions submitted through our pharmacy can be approved quickly and efficiently by our medical team, often with just the click of a button. If you prefer to continue using an outside pharmacy, we are still happy to provide you with a written prescription that you can submit to a pharmacy of your choice.
