Everyday we mee

t new animals and people. Volunteers who have completed a waiver and had an orientation are welcome to walk dogs from 8 -3:30 daily. The public is invited to meet animals between 12-3:30 Mon- Saturday. Courtney Proctor-Cross is the Director. When you have questions please message, call, or stop by the shelter. The animals would love to meet you. This page will be updated daily, and we will try to respond as quickly as possible.

Not everyone can adopt a shelter dog right now, and that's why today is important.

The United Nations set aside September 5th as the International Day of Charity.

For the dogs and cats at Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter, that doesn't have to mean adoption. Foster one so they're out of a kennel while they wait for their forever home. Donate toward food, medical and daily care. Volunteer an afternoon for the ones who just need a walk or some company.
