Wolvie is learning that listening to his owners guidance and instruction is the door to more freedom!

He’s an all-around GREAT dog, but he’s also been known to think listening happens on his terms.

This was him on a recent walk passing by a deer without pulling or lunging—and then giving us a stellar recall. 🦌🐕

That’s what real-world training looks like: teaching dogs to make good choices, even when something exciting is right there.

🐾 Della + Wolvie’s Adventure Walk! 🌲

Della has been joining us for Adventure Walks with a little extra training mixed in, while Wolvie has been working through our Private Lessons program. While his mom was away, she wanted him to get some fulfillment, exercise, and extra reps with his e-collar — so we put the two together for an Adventure Walk!

Our Adventure Walks are typically offered as a monthly subscription, but we understand that every dog and every schedule is different.

✨ Going out of town and need your dog exercised while you’re away?
✨ Looking for a regular outlet that includes more than just a neighborhood walk?

We can be flexible! Monthly subscriptions are our most popular option, but we’re happy to work with you when a different arrangement makes more sense.

Della progress report 🐕📈

The outcome is easy to celebrate, but the process is what deserves the attention. It’s easy to fixate on the finish line and lose motivation throughout the journey.

Della still has work to do, and that’s okay! It’s not flashy or fast but we are really impressed with how far she’s come in just a month and a half!

Della is currently in a hybrid program where we do casual training during her adventure walks. This has allowed her to enjoy our time together even more!

Every successful recall. Every successful heel. Every small win is a building block toward a dog that’s more reliable, confident, and easier to live with.

However, learning doesn’t just exist in the success. A failed repetition opens the door for clarity. It gives us an opportunity to communicate more effectively, narrow down the criteria for the behavior, and reinforce the correct choice.

There’s always more training to do. Rather than fixating on the horizon, focus on the next step right in front of you.
