I received an update on Buck. When he left his ears were still down. What a difference a 10 days makes. This was about a week or so ago so I'll bet by now they are fully upright. They made me laugh for sure.

My husband had a total hip replacement last Friday-8 days ago. What do most people do afterwards? I'm not sure, but I know what we did. We loaded two puppies up and went on a road trip to deliver them to their new families. It was a 9 hour drive and they both did so well. They slept most of the time only waking to use the potty momentarily. They did get restless about the last half hour but once we arrived they got to get out and run off some energy. One now resides in Michigan and one in Wisconsin. This part of the job never gets old. To see the pure joy on everyone's faces when they finally meet the puppy they've only seen in pictures or videos is something in and of itself. ❤️ I don't think there is anything much cuter than kids and puppies! ❤️❤️❤️

Yesterday marked a milestone for us. We shipped our very first puppy via airplane to her new home. It was surprisingly easy and I learned a few things along the way. It was a good experience all around. One of my biggest concerns was the puppy being left unattended and what if it needed something? The gentleman who checked us in assured me that if she were in distress or needed anything they would attend to her. So for those of you who are leary of flying a puppy, it isn't as bad as it seems and this puppy slept most of the time she was with us in the crate she flew in and was settled back in before they took her. She arrived at J & M Decker Terriers within a few hours to be spoiled by her new family. ❤️

We took everybody to the vet office today for physicals, deworming, and their first round of vaccines. Everybody is healthy and everybody who is supposed to have bits has them. They were all very well behaved and actually slept most of the time. Some of them could barely muster the strength to hold their heads up for their exams. Nobody got car sick and only one of them objected slightly to being contained in the crate for the ride but she quieted down within minutes.

This afternoon they were passed out in the yard like they were dropped out of an airplane. This evening they all cuddled into the crate by themselves. All I had to do was shut the door. It must be hard work eating, growing, and going to the potty. LOL
