📢 Important Clinic Update

Dr. Powers will be away for a personal matter August 26–29, 2026.

During this time, no veterinarian will be available at the clinic, so veterinary services and appointments will not be available. However, our skeleton staff will be available to assist with general inquiries and other non-medical needs.

Normal veterinary services will resume on Tuesday, September 1.

Today is Feline Leukemia Day. Did you know FeLV is one of the most common infectious diseases in cats? 🐱❤️

Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) weakens a cat's immune system, making them more vulnerable to infections, anemia, and certain types of cancer. While some infected cats may not show signs right away, early detection and prevention can make a significant difference.

Keep an eye out for symptoms such as:
🐾 Loss of appetite
🐾 Weight loss
🐾 Lethargy
🐾 Poor coat condition
🐾 Pale gums
🐾 Persistent diarrhea
🐾 Fever
🐾 Swollen lymph nodes

Let's all wish Dr. Powers personal dog Kitt a very Happy 18th Birthday! She is from the island of St. Kitts and helped Dr. Powers get thru medical school. Kitt was rescued off a beach she was foraging for food outside the apartment Dr. P was living in while attending classes. The student needed a friend and the dog needed a home. Now the Doctor has taken the Coconut Retriever everywhere. She is a special member of the team at PVH!
