Do you love animals, don’t mind getting your hands dirty, and want to make a difference every day? We’re looking for Kennel Attendants to join the Al-Van Humane Society team!

Kennel Attendants play an important role in keeping our shelter clean, safe, and comfortable for the animals in our care. From feeding and caring for dogs and cats to providing exercise, helping visitors, and keeping their spaces clean, this is a hands-on position that makes a difference every day.

Position details:
Part-time & full-time positions available
Cleaning and animal care are a big part of the job
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical duties required

We’re looking for dependable, compassionate people who are comfortable working with animals, following procedures, and being part of a team.

Welcome Ivy to Red Sky Dog Training!🪴

This cutie girl arrived yesterday for her Board and Train program. We will be spending the next two weeks taking her obedience to the next level and focusing on recall.

She is a happy go lucky dog with a lot of energy and we are excited to get to know her more!

Everyone meet Bob! 🌟

Bob started his Board and Train program with us this week and is off to a great start!

We will be working on general manners and obedience (he loves to jump up on people). We will also be focusing on his over the top reactions to seeing other dogs out on walks and from his window in the house 🐶🏠💥

I think it would be safe to update Chaos’s shelter bio to say:

“Huge U of M fan 🏈💛💙”

I am very proud of this boy and how he did at the family BBQ this weekend to kick off college football season. He had lots of firsts including going up and down stairs, seeing a TV for the first time (that really blew his mind 🤯), and getting a taste of “people food”… anyone can be his friend if you have smoked ribs to offer 😂

I have grown so fond of this dog that seeing him get adopted will be one of the most bittersweet experiences I have ever had. I do tear up when I think about it, but I know he will find someone who loves him as much as I do 💕🐾

As we care for your dogs at Red Sky Dog Training, we fall in love with them too. Our heart breaks every time we hear of the passing of any of the dogs we have had the privilege of caring for. Saying goodbye is truly the worst part of owning and loving a pet, and we know this feeling of losing pets all too well 💔

Our good friend is hosting a great opportunity for anyone who has lost a pet. For me (Grace) I had never heard of something like this, but I also found myself seeking community and support after the passing of my last dog, Ajax. I think this is a great idea and Zach’s vision is unique and needed.
