Welcome to the pack, Chloe! 🩷

We’re so excited to have this sweet girl and her family join East Coast K9! They’re here to learn how to build confidence, strengthen communication, and help Chloe become the best version of herself.

Chloe is already incredibly well-socialized and loves everyone she meets! Now, we’re working on building her manners and giving her family the tools they need to navigate their social everyday life with confidence.

Welcome to the pack, Gunner! 🖤

Gunner and his family reached out to ECK9 for help with basic obedience and working through some occasional reactive behaviors. Underneath his big personality is an even bigger softie who just has some big emotions to work through.

Today marks the start of his journey toward becoming a more confident, stable dog who can take the world in stride. He already loves offering eye contact, totally gets his cues, and is so eager to learn. We can’t wait to watch him grow.

1:1 Adventure Hour! 🏞️🐾

Give your dog the opportunity to build confidence and practice real-life skills in personalized one-on-one training adventures.

Your dog will be picked up from your home, transported to a local park or dog-friendly location for a one-hour customized training session, and safely returned home afterward.

Following each adventure, you’ll receive a detailed training recap with trip successes and homework reccomendations for continued progress.

Welcome to the pack, Kash!🩶

Kash and his family joined ECK9 to fine-tune his obedience training while also working through his stranger-directed reactivity. While he's a very sweet boy, uncertainty around unfamiliar people can make the world feel a little overwhelming at times and cause some very big feelings.

One of his family's goals in helping Kash become a well-mannered companion is to be able to work with his young human sibling. We'll also use this to build his ability to confidently work with anyone holding his leash, from family members to veterinarians, groomers, and friends for boarding.

As Kash progresses, we will incorporate occasional day training adventures to safely expose him to new environments and people, helping build confidence and feel more comfortable in public.

We're excited to watch this handsome guy grow into his confidence and improve on his already wonderful training! Thank you for trusting ECK9 to help with your training journey!🐾

Fun day at the park with Potato!🥔

Potato’s lesson focused on working through his reactivity around unfamiliar dogs. We started with loose leash walking and engagement drills before exploring the park and practicing engagement with Mom over overwhelming distractions.

Park walking went so wonderfully, we even sprinkled in some fun confidence building drills around jumping on new surfaces and working around flocks of geese!

We finished our session outside the dog park, where Potato worked closely around barking dogs and lots of excitement. He handled it so well! Even after one reactive moment, his mom quickly and confidently redirected him and got his focus back.

When the consistency and dedication show through, it’s a HUGE win day! We're so proud of Potato and his mom for all the hard work they've been putting in. Keep it up! 🤎🐾

Little Gary grew up! 🤎🪶

Gary and his parents have already been crushing it with their at-home training around all of their farm animal friends! Now it's time to build on that foundation with safe, well-mannered public obedience.

Since Gary's family loves spending their summers at campgrounds with friends, we're focusing on the skills that will help him enjoy those adventures. Today we introduced “place” and true loose leash walking around real-world distractions including chickens, ducks, people, and other dogs.

This smart little pointer is already making fantastic progress, and we can't wait to watch him continue to grow throughout his training journey! 🐾

Lesson 2 with Foxx! 🖤

This boy and his parents have already put so much dedication into his training, and it truly shows! From the start of our lesson today, it was clear how much work they’ve already put into building strong foundations and clear communication with him.

Today we started “Place” and fine-tuned his walking, sit, and stay skills around distractions. Squirrels and birds are usually the biggest competitors outside, but for Foxx… the crab apples were definitely his kryptonite! 🍎 Impulse control work coming soon!😂

Great job to Foxx and his mom & dad! We can’t wait to see how awesome this boy continues to become! 🐾

🚨 PLEASE READ – 4th of July & Your Dog🚨

Please **DO NOT** bring your dogs to fireworks shows this weekend. ❌🐶🎆❌

Your pup will be much safer, and far more comfortable, at home.

Unfortunately, the lost dog posts have already started rolling in. **REMEMBER, July 5th is one of the busiest days of the year for animal shelters as they take in dogs that fled during Fourth of July fireworks.**

Even the most well-behaved dogs can panic when faced with loud, unpredictable fireworks. If your dog hasn't been properly conditioned and has not consistently proven they can handle that environment, fear can quickly trigger their fight-or-flight response, and most dogs will choose flight.

Celebrate responsibly by leaving the fireworks for the people and keeping your pups safe, secure, and cozy at home. ❤️🤍💙🐾
