Black fly season is here, and those tiny pests can pack a punch for our pups.

A red ring around a black fly bite is usually just a mild skin reaction from irritation. It is most common on areas with less hair (belly, inner thigh area, ears).

Most cases improve on their own within a few days.

If the redness spreads, worsens, or your dog seems uncomfortable, give us a call. 🐾
