The Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA is currently hiring for:
🐶 Animal Care Technician
🐱 Adoption Counselor
We're considering full-time and part-time applicants, with both seasonal and permanent positions available.
💼 What we're looking for:
• Open availability between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
• Weekends and holidays are required, our animals need care every day of the year.
• Typical shifts are 4–8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently bend, and safely handle animals weighing up to 150 pounds in a fast-paced environment.
🐾 Animal Care Technicians are responsible for daily animal care, cleaning, enrichment and socialization, and general facility maintenance. Previous animal caretaking experience is preferred.
💻 Adoption Counselors help match pets with loving families while providing excellent customer service. Office and computer experience is preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
💲Pay is based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for raises through quarterly performance reviews during the first year and annual reviews thereafter.
