I have wooden boards in mine ♡
Fall is when we look for winter shelter.
Toads. Frogs. Salamanders. Chipmunks. Even baby rabbits.
We wander at night.
And many of us fall into window wells.
Deep metal walls. No way up.
We can't climb out.
No food. No water.
We slowly starve, dry out, or freeze down there.
Most homeowners never look.
🪜 A 2-minute fix:
→ Check your window wells this week
→ Lean a rough board or stick inside as a ramp
→ Or put a clear window well cover on top
→ Gently lift out anyone you find and set them near shrubs
Go check right now.
You might be someone's only hope.
