🎃🐷 Flashback to my Chunkers! ❤️

It's pumpkin season again, and don't forget to SAVE YOUR PUMPKINS FOR THE PIGGIES! 🎃🐽

If you know of a pumpkin patch or see one nearby, please share our rescue's information with them! Donated pumpkins help cut down on our food bill, and trust me, the piggies are more than happy to help dispose of them! 😂❤️

Happy piggies, full bellies, and a little less spent on groceries! 🐷🎃💕

🐷 A little message from the piggies…

Sorry our Mom hasn’t been posting as much lately. Our family has had a lot going on, and she’s been a little stretched thin. The human “kids” have flown the coop, so we’re down two sets of helping hands — which obviously means the piggies are in charge now! 😂🐷

Daddy Sean has back surgery next Tuesday, and our grandpa in Florida is dealing with some health concerns, so we’ve been keeping them both extra close in our hearts. ❤️

We’ve also temporarily gained two doggie roommates, including a Great Pyrenees who thinks he’s our babysitter. We’re still teaching him who’s really in charge. 😂

Mom promises to keep the pictures and piggy updates coming when she can. In the meantime, if you could send a little love, a prayer, or some positive thoughts our family’s way, we’d sure appreciate it. ❤️

Thanks for sticking with us through this crazy season. 🐷💕

❤️ A Rocky Update ❤️

When we lost our sweet little old lady Betsy, one of our biggest worries was Rocky. Those two were bonded, and for the first couple of months without her, Rocky just seemed… lost. 💔

But little by little, we started seeing our Rocky come back. And now, he has truly embraced life again and all the little joys that come with it. 🐷❤️

These days, you can find him relaxing in the shade, enjoying someone sitting nearby talking to him, and—of course—being sung to like the handsome boy he is. 🎶

We will always miss Betsy, but seeing Rocky learn that there are still good days, gentle moments, and plenty of love waiting for him makes our hearts so happy.

Sometimes healing just takes a little time. ❤️🐽

🐷 Short Stack here with an important car-riding rule:

If Mommy says you HAVE to go for a car ride, there is only one acceptable place to sit — on Mommy. ❤️

Unfortunately, Mommy is a meanie and says my entire piggy body cannot be in her lap because apparently I’m “squishing her.” 🙄

So we reached a compromise: half of me on Mommy and half of me on the center console. That way I can snuggle Mommy AND watch out the window to see where we’re going.

Personally, I still think her whole lap should be mine. 🐽😂❤️

Come join us this Saturday at the Ren Fair!

Piggies by the Sea will be managing the parking and collecting donations to help raise money for our winter preparations. Every car we park helps us get one step closer to keeping the piggies warm, cozy, and ready for winter!

Come have some Ren Fair fun and help support the piggies while you’re there!

💦🐷 Jethro got it today!

Everybody around here is smart enough to know one very important rule on a hot day…

Whichever pool has the hose running into it has the COLDEST, freshest water! 😂💦

And today, Jethro made sure he claimed that pool. Why settle for this morning’s pool water when you can park yourself right next to the hose and enjoy the good stuff?

Smart piggy. Cold water. Happy Jethro. 🐷💦❤️

🐷🛏️ WINTER BED DONATIONS NEEDED! 🛏️🐷

We’re already starting our winter planning at Piggies by the Sea, and one thing we know we’re going to need is more comfy beds for the pigs who come inside! ❤️

Have you seen the price of big dog beds lately?! 😳 Instead of spending rescue funds buying new ones, we’re hoping some of our wonderful supporters may have used crib or twin-size memory foam mattresses they no longer need.

A few important piggy requirements:

🐽 Crib or twin size
🐽 Memory foam or foam mattresses are perfect
🐽 No springs
🐽 No plastic-coated mattresses — that crinkly plastic makes a sound the pigs apparently find way too entertaining, and they will destroy it! 😂
🐽 Waterproof mattress covers are also VERY welcome
🐽 We are currently good on sheets!

We can arrange pickup in the Hubert/Swansboro area, or mattresses can be dropped off here at the rescue — and of course, dropping them off comes with the added bonus of getting to visit the piggies! 🐷💕

If anyone has a connection with a local thrift store that might be willing to collect crib or twin memory foam mattresses for us, we would LOVE to hear from you.

♻️ Used is absolutely fine! We’d much rather give a good mattress a second life as a cozy piggy bed than spend rescue funds buying brand-new beds.

If you have one you’d like to donate, please message the rescue page!

Thank you for helping us keep our piggies warm, cozy, and maybe just a little spoiled this winter season! 🐷🛏️❄️❤️

🐷💕 THIS is one of the things your donations make possible! 💕🐷

Because of our amazing supporters, we’re able to buy the treats, put gas in the transport van, and keep it running so our piggies can visit places that may not be able to afford to pay for a visit—but where a few little hooves can bring some of the BIGGEST smiles. 🐽❤️

Our trips to nursing homes and assisted living facilities are some of the most rewarding trips our pigs make. Watching faces light up, hearing the laughter, and seeing the excitement when a pig comes strolling through the door is something that never gets old. 🥰

These visits aren’t about making money. They’re about making memories, bringing joy, and giving someone a day that feels a little extra special.

And we can do it because YOU help us. Every donation, whether it buys a bag of treats or helps fill the van with gas, keeps those little piggy feet on the road and headed toward the people who need those smiles the most. 🐷🚐💕

Thank you for helping Piggies by the Sea spread a little happiness, one piggy visit at a time. ❤️
