Ours is the only shelter in our county for both cats and dogs. We are funded by donations, and pay for our veterinary care and medications. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with all donations being tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law."

What a beautiful way to honor Teddy’s memory... turning a day of sadness into one filled with love, happiness, and lots of tail wags. We know our dogs are feeling extra loved today thanks to this thoughtful gesture. 💙🐶

Best Day Ever!! 🐾❤️

One of the shelter’s favorite collaborations each year is with Mrs. Rightmyer’s class! Her students always go above and beyond, and this year was no exception. They truly knocked their projects out of the park, and our shelter puppies had the best day ever spending time with such amazing students.

A huge thank-you to Mrs. Rightmyer, Radez Elementary, and all of the students who poured their hearts into this project. Their essays will soon be displayed at the shelter, so be sure to stop by and take a look!

Biscuit is a 3 year old male. He was surrendered with 4 other cats due to housing issues. He is SUPER sweet, affectionate, and GREAT with people. Since arriving to the shelter, he has been severely aggressive around other cats(including the cats he came in with.) This is likely due to stress or change, but we just want to make it known incase he might prefer to be king of the household!

Meet Piper! 🐾

Piper is a beautiful 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing about 55 pounds, and she is as sweet as can be! This lovely girl has a gentle personality and loves being around people. She enjoys attention, making new friends, and soaking up all the love she can get.

Piper already knows some of her basic commands, including “sit,” and she’s eager to please. She has also done well with other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking to add another canine friend.

Meet Chopper 🐾🐾

This sweet one-year-old hound mix may be a little shy at first, but give him some time and you’ll discover a total lovebug. Chopper isn’t the type of dog who instantly falls in love with everyone he meets—he’ll need more than one introduction to truly feel comfortable and show his personality. While he tends to warm up to women a bit faster, he does warm up to men as well with patience and consistency.

Once he trusts you, he’s all about pets, snuggles, and being close to his people. ❤️

Chopper is a playful, happy-go-lucky guy with plenty of energy to burn, so he would thrive in an active household. He absolutely loves squeaky toys, enjoys splashing around in the water, and is always ready for his next adventure!

While Chopper enjoys having canine friends, he is dog-selective and will require a dog introduction with any potential canine housemates to ensure everyone is a good match.

If you’re looking for a gentle soul who takes a little time to bloom but becomes a loyal, affectionate companion, Chopper might just be your perfect match. 🐾
