HAZEL — BEAUTIFUL BLACK MORGAN MARE
8 years old | Smart, affectionate & ready to learn

Looking for a project horse you can build a bond with? Meet Hazel! This beautiful girl is extremely smart, loves people, and believes belly scratches and ear rubs are the best part of any day.

Hazel is just beginning her training under saddle and is still learning her manners. She can be a little nervous, but in the few months she has been with us, she has already come such a long way. With patience, consistency, and time to build trust, she continues to gain confidence.

She tends to be higher in the herd’s pecking order and would be best suited to an experienced person who enjoys bringing a horse along at her own pace. Hazel is a project horse who needs continued training, so she is not currently suited for a beginner.

Looking for a young draft horse to grow with? Meet Bodie! This solid-built boy is smart, full of potential, and ready to find his forever home.

Bodie has been learning his ground manners and is doing very well. With no known vices and a blank slate for his future training, he’s ready for someone to continue building his foundation with patience, consistency, and love.

Still just a yearling, Bodie has plenty of growing and learning ahead of him. We’re looking for a home that will give him the time and guidance to mature into the wonderful partner he has the potential to become.

Adopters must have draft horse experience.

Looking at this beautiful girl, you’d never know the hurt she carries. When we rescued her, she would flinch, try to kick, and run the moment anyone came near. Abuse and neglect had taught her to fear people.

It has taken two years of patience and love to finally begin earning her trust. We’re so lucky to have this beautiful soul in our lives.

Let her be a reminder: looking okay doesn’t always mean being okay. Some wounds are invisible, and healing takes time.

The ladies that work here put so much love into all of these horses. Without them they wouldn't have a chance. Thank you to all three of them.

Well… Wilber was quite literally dumped at our ranch. 🐷❤️
After lots of patience, human love, and more than a few adventures trying to catch him, Wilber finally decided we weren’t so bad. 😂

We’re so happy to share that Wilber has found his new home at a petting farm in Howell, where he’ll get plenty of love, attention, and new friends.

Wilber, thank you for all the laughs, giggles, and memories you gave us during your unexpected stay at the ranch. You definitely made an impression on all of us!

Reba – 20-Year-Old Standardbred Mare – 16xx

Reba is a sweet, seasoned Standardbred mare looking for the perfect light-use home where she can be enjoyed and appreciated. She is broke to drive and has extensive road experience, making her a wonderful option for an intermediate driver looking for a calm, dependable partner.

She is traffic-safe and comfortable around cars, trucks, motorcycles, dogs, and everyday activity. Reba has a quiet, easygoing personality and gets along beautifully with mares, geldings, and minis. She is the kind of mare who settles in and fits into just about any herd.

Reba is happiest being driven a few times a week at an easy pace. She has been comfortable and sound with this level of work and is currently sound barefoot.

• Used to UTVs, tractors, trucks, goats & everyday farm life

We rescued Chili from a very bad situation when she was only 5 months old. She came to us with strangles and was extremely shut down. With lots of time, love, and care, she blossomed into an incredibly sweet, intelligent mare and has become one of the absolute favorites on the ranch.
Chili was started riding and driving last year and did great. Because she was still young, we chose to give her time off to grow and mature rather than push her. She is green broke and should be very easy to get back into consistent training.
And LOOK AT HER. 😍 She has the presence and movement to absolutely turn heads in the show pen.
We are a horse rescue, not a horse-flipping operation. Our goal is to rescue horses from bad situations, give them the time they need to become healthy mentally and physically, and then carefully find them the right forever home.
Chili has come a long way from that scared little 5-month-old filly. Now she deserves a person who will take her the rest of the way. ❤️
