🎆 A Little 4th of July PSA from Your Friends at GlendasGrooming!🐾❤️
This is one of the busiest—and sadly, one of the scariest—weeks of the year for our pets.
Every year, loving families are desperately searching for dogs that became frightened by fireworks and ran away. Please don't let your pet become one of them.
A few simple precautions can make all the difference:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks—even if they're normally outside.
🐾 Double-check fences, gates, kennel latches, and crate doors.
🐾 Make sure collars fit properly and ID tags have your current phone number.
🐾 If you have a GPS tracker, this is the perfect week to use it.
🐾 Walk dogs early in the day before the fireworks begin.
🐾 Create a quiet, safe place inside with a TV, fan, or calming music to help drown out the noise.
🐾 Never assume your pet "has never been bothered before." It only takes one loud boom to send even the calmest dog into panic mode.
Even though there are laws about when fireworks can be used, we all know they often start days before the holiday and continue long after.

After more than 30 years as a professional groomer I can honestly tell you this is the week I worry about the most. I've seen firsthand how quickly a frightened pet can slip away. A few minutes of preparation today can save days—or even weeks—of heartbreak.
