Fireworks can be scary for a lot of dogs. So a little prep before the 4th can make a big difference.

Here are a few ways to help your pup feel safe and secure:
🐾Create a quiet “safe space” (crate, closet, or a comfy room away from windows)
🐾Close windows/curtains and use a fan, TV, or white noise to help mask sound
🐾Make sure your dog has ID tags and a secure collar/harness (more dogs bolt on fireworks nights)
🐾Give them extra exercise earlier in the day to help them settle at night
🐾Offer comfort items like a favorite blanket or toy
🐾Talk to your vet ahead of time if your dog has severe anxiety (they may recommend options)

🐾Most importantly: stay calm, your pup takes cues from you.🐾
