To rescue and rehabilitate homeless dogs through a compassionate foster network, and to provide education, resources, and structured support to individuals and families who need help caring for or responsibly rehoming their pets.

WHO’S THAT GIRL?? IT’S LILY💅💞

Less than 3 months ago, Lily was a timid, underweight, mange covered baby. But today?? She’s healthy, happy & thriving! Lily loves everyone she meets! She’s happiest playing with her favorite stuffies, meeting new friends, and soaking up all the love! She's recently been super excited to show off all the new skills she’s been learning at training!

Lily has sooo much love to give and is ready for her best chapter yet. She’s affectionate, playful, silly, and just wants to be right beside her person. After everything she’s been through, she’s ready to spend the rest of her life being loved, spoiled, and part of a family that’s her very own🩷🩷

As if you needed another reason to adopt Dyno, here’s a few more 💙💚🥲 and we wanted everyone to see what a big baby he is. Who says a 46 lb dog can’t sit in your lap?!

Two weeks of Cashew progress!!! 💙💚

Cashew has already come a long way from his days at the shelter. He’s been putting on some healthy weight thanks to lil_brittanie and had a training session with Good Lead Dog Training • Houston, TX. He got wonderful feedback from the session and loves to learn! Cashew is extremely charming and playful. He has a follow-up appt at the vet this week and we can’t wait to find out how much weight he’s gained.

Stay tuned for the most handsome guy to be posted for adoption.

So excited to welcome Maria Amaya to the Caro’s Canines Crew!!! Maria is an incredible human and foster. She is one of the smartest and most organized gals around and will go a fabulous job ensuring our dogs receive the best care before they go to their forever homes. Fun fact - Maria fostered and nursed one of the CCR mascots, Marcy, back to health after her amputation surgery 💚💙

Dyno’s DNA is in and we can’t say we saw the #1 breed coming👀 🥁🥁 Wisdom Panel™ Pet DNA Tests

Turns out this sweet, goofy boy has some incredible working dog genes!! He’s super smart (duh), so no wonder he has been doing amazing training with Shay. Dyno loves a job to learn!! This also totally explains the loyalty and confidence. He is SUCH a good dog and would make the best companion for many types of families.

July 2026 wrapped!! Our second month of operations.

3 dogs came into our care this month and 3 found their forever homes. Crouton (pictured, obviously thriving) was one of July's happy endings! We have been thrilled to see the progress our dogs have made thanks to a little bit of TLC (aka Tender Love 'n Car(o)'s Canines!!) We will be announcing the other happy tails later this month 💙💚

$2,234 went to medical care alone this month. Every single dollar donated went straight to the dogs and your donations continue to be critical to helping us save dogs.

Exciting news - Crouton was adopted!! 💙💚

Once a matted owner surrender at the shelter, now Crouton is living his best life with a wonderful couple. He is going on walks with his new dad, taking lots of couch naps and has a best buddy named Charlotte who he zooms around with in the yard. We are thrilled for Crew and his brand new chapter in life. He is so loved!!! Happy tails, Crouton! 🐾
