🖤 Happy National Black Dog Day!

Here’s something worth knowing: black dogs are statistically among the last to be adopted from shelters — often because of superstition or simply because they’re harder to photograph well.

But at camp? Our black-coated campers are absolute rock stars. 🐾

Share a photo of a black dog you love in the comments — owned, fostered, or just admired from afar. And if you’ve been thinking about adoption, consider giving a dark-coated pup their chance. They will absolutely make up for it in personality. 🖤🐶

A month into fall, and the new routine is starting to feel like second nature. 🍂🐾

For our daycare regulars, fall just means new smells, cooler mornings, and the same crew they’ve been looking forward to seeing. Dogs are adaptable — especially when they have somewhere consistent to be.

Today is National Adopted Dog Day — and we have a story to share. 🐾❤️

Meet Amelie. She came from the Weimaraner Rescue of Texas and arrived at her forever home when she was just six months old — rescued from a situation no dog should ever be in.

Today? She sleeps in her mom's bed, vacations at her grandparents' ranch where she runs free, and is one of our beloved campers. Her camp nickname is "Omelette," she's a notorious flirt with the boy dogs, and the moment she arrives at school she is READY — no long goodbyes with mom, please. She's got places to be and friends to see. 😂

To her family: thank you for giving her the life she deserves. And to Amelie — we are so glad you found your way to us. 🥹

Is your dog giving you the eyes every morning when you leave? 👀

A little velcro behavior is normal. But if your dog is pacing, destructive, or unusually clingy, they might be telling you something. Dogs thrive on routine and connection, and a big change can throw that off.

A couple days of daycare a week for your pup can make a huge difference in adjusting to the back to school season. It's something fun to look forward to, they get to see their friends, and burn off some energy. When you come to pick them up, they'll be ready and content to snooze. 💤
