ADOPTION NEWS!

We rescued Ravi in January after he had been living as a stray on the streets, which eventually landed him in the shelter system. Despite everything he had been through, this sweet boy had nothing but love to give. Little did Ravi know that his life was going to take a very drastic turn, he would be resting comfortably in his new forever home, surrounded by his new mom and friend. Ravi will never be alone again.

We invited Ravi's mom to the ranch for a meet-and-greet. She was torn between Hudson and Ravi; both would have been good fits for her. But something magical happened when little Khloe Bonded with Ravi, it became clear to her that he was the one. Ravi even captured the hearts of her friends. Before Ravi even left the Ranch, his mom was already making plans for their new life together. There’s no doubt he will be deeply loved and begin a new chapter filled with adventure, companionship, and security. Yay Ravi!

NEW RESCUE 🐾🐕- Harper is a stunning 2-year-old swiss Shepherd who has recently joined our family. With her athletic build, intelligent eyes, and alert expression, she embodies the best traits.

Harper is a very sweet girl who needs a family who will help her work on her confidence. She will need socialization out in the big world. Living with another dog who can show her the ropes at home and out in the big world will be a big plus. Being able to play with her is a definite plus.

She loves to work with the leash. She bonds with the person holding the leash very quickly. She loves to prance around like the most skilled show horse , with head and tail held high. She loves all dogs, big and small.

MAYDAY FOR DELTA AND DANDY - Puppies Needing Help
This week we received a mayday from one of the shelters. The plea had gone out to many, but still two puppies sat in the shelter. With regular healthy puppies who go to the shelters, there are usually people lining up, but for two puppies with Demodex, puppies who need medical care and time to heal, their only hope is that a rescue answer the call. Without that hope and help, they are euthanized.
Rescues receive pleas like this from shelters, and we spring into action, and that is exactly what happened on January 08 . We needed a foster home and we needed transportation, and we didn't have days to arrange it. We had hours. As you might imagine, as much as we would like, we don't have foster homes for medical puppies waiting in a line. Maybe some day, but on Wednesday, we were working on a wing and a prayer.
Thankfully, one of our foster homes agreed to take them, and then, without even having to ask twice, one of our volunteers got in his truck and made the 140-mile round trip trek to pick them up.
DELTA and DANDY are two brothers, about 12 to 14 weeks old. They weren't strays. No one dumped them at the shelter. They were saved from a bad situation, a home where they were not cared for.
Their intake into the shelter read, "welfare protection". Both of them have Demodex, a condition where their immune systems have been compromised. They hadn't been getting proper care or nutrition. Their bellies were round and plump, but that wasn't because of food they were receiving. It was the parasites who were living off of what little food they were receiving. In these conditions, mites take over and began feasting on their skin, they itch and scratch and lose their fur. With medical treatment it is a simple thing to cure, medication is all it takes. Without treatment, proper nutrition, it can be fatal for puppies like DELTA and DANDY
