Bunnie can be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her a little time and she quickly opens up and lets her sweet personality shine. 🥰

She is heartworm negative and currently completing the rest of her vetting. Now she just needs a loving foster home where she can feel safe, get comfortable, and continue getting ready for her forever family.

We’re so excited to officially introduce our “Color” Litter and their beautiful momma, Missy! 💕

Missy welcomed 7 precious babies — 5 boys and 2 girls — on August 20, 2026, and these little nuggets have officially turned 4 weeks old! 🥹

Today was a big day for the babies because they had their vet visit! 🩺🐶 They started their dewormer, and the vet says everyone is looking very healthy! Their first round of vaccinations will be coming up soon as they continue growing.

And momma Missy is doing great, too! 💗 She is heartworm negative and will be spayed as soon as her babies are finished nursing.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing each of our little Color Babies individually — complete with their colorful names! 🌈 We can’t wait for you to watch them grow with us.

Say hello to Snoopy, our newest little bundle of cuteness, chaos, and ZOOMIES! 🤎🤍🐶💨

Snoopy is clearly still a young pup, and he has all the goofy puppy energy to prove it! He’s a funny, playful little guy who loves to run, explore, play, and keep everyone around him laughing.

Snoopy recently came into Forgotten Paws with no prior vetting, so we’re starting from scratch with his medical care. We’ll be getting him everything he needs to make sure he’s healthy and fully vetted before heading to his forever home. 🩺❤️

While we complete his vetting, Snoopy is officially ready to start looking for his forever family! We’re accepting applications now so hopefully his perfect people will be waiting for him when he’s ready to go home. 🏡

Leo is 8 months old and quite possibly one of the happiest, silliest boys you’ll ever meet. 😂❤️

This sweet boy is ALL about affection. He loves hugs, kisses, cuddles, and if there’s an available lap, you can pretty much guarantee Leo will be in it. And personal space? Leo has never heard of it. 😂 He’d much rather be right in your face giving kisses and soaking up all the love.

25 years ago today, our nation experienced unimaginable loss—but also witnessed extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unity.

Today, Forgotten Paws pauses to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We also honor the incredible search-and-rescue dogs and their handlers who worked tirelessly at Ground Zero in the days and weeks that followed. Four legs or two, heroes came in many forms that day. 🐾🇺🇸

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the bravery.
May we never forget how our country came together.

Hi, Ford here.

I have some unfortunate news. I was THIS 🤏 CLOSE to being adopted.

My future family applied for me. They knew I was in Texas. They were approved. Everyone was excited. My rescue sent over my adoption agreement…

And then suddenly Texas was very far away. 😭😂

Apparently after virtually falling in love with me, they decided they didn’t feel comfortable having me transported all the way to Wisconsin.

Totally okay — my rescue wants everyone to feel comfortable with their decision. ❤️

They even reached back out to explain how transport works and reassure them about the process.

For an entire year, Delta sat at PVAS waiting for someone to choose her.

Day after day. Month after month. She watched other dogs leave while she continued to wait.

Delta originally came into the shelter from a hoarding/cruelty case. One by one, the other dogs from that case left… until Delta was the last one remaining.

Then she landed on the urgent euthanasia list, just for “space”. 💔

After everything this girl had already endured, we couldn’t let her story end there.

No one had chosen Delta for nearly a year — so Forgotten Paws did. 🐾❤️

Her foster says this perfect-sized little lady is incredibly sweet and well-behaved. She’s settling beautifully into life outside the shelter and showing everyone just how special she is.

Well… almost perfectly behaved. 😂

We have also learned that Delta HATES baths. 🛁 Apparently bath time is currently a multi-person operation because Miss Ma’am has very strong opinions about soap, water, and being asked to participate. 😂

After a year in the shelter, we’ll let her have this one. 🤷‍♀️

Delta is unfortunately heartworm positive, so her journey isn’t quite over. She’ll be undergoing treatment with us and, once she has completed treatment and is medically cleared, she’ll be ready for adoption. 🏡💕

We also welcomed 2 new intakes and completed 3 spay/neuter surgeries, helping more dogs get healthy, ready, and one step closer to their own forever homes.

Rescue isn’t always about huge numbers. Every number represents a life changed. And seeing FIVE of our babies end August knowing where they belong makes all the hard days worth it. 💗

Tiny legs, BIG personality. Little Lady was saved from the euthanasia list and surprised us by being full-term pregnant! Mama life is behind her now, and she’s ready for HER turn. She loves playing outside and has a slight stuffed-animal-hoarding problem. 🧸😂

🚙 FORD — Around 6 months old
Ford and his brother were found dumped on a private road, but he hasn’t let his rough beginning define him. He’s a sweet, playful pup who’s ready to trade rescue life for a couch, a family and probably a ridiculous number of toys. ❤️
