PREPARE NOW for JULY 4th: THE DAY THE GREATEST NUMBER OF PETS GO MISSING! Fireworks terrify most pets, and their priority is to ESCAPE and RUN! Here are a few quick tips to keep your pet safe:

* Make sure your pet has on a COLLAR and TAG with UPDATED CONTACT INFORMATION. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AT ALL TIMES, not just on the 4th of July.

* Keep a current photo of your pet on hand. Just in case.

* Exercise your pet early in the day, before fireworks and festivities begin.

* Do NOT take your pet to a party.

* Keep your pet home and inside a quiet room, away from entrance and exit doors.

* Leave gentle music playing to cover the sound of the fireworks.

* Give your dog a stuffed Kong or favorite treat to occupy time and keep him/her calm.

HOUSTON, TX: ✨ Meet Hurley — your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and gentle hug-giver ✨

Looking for a loyal, low-key best friend with a heart of gold? Hurley is your girl 💛

At 3 years old and 53 lbs, this Lab/Hound mix is the perfect blend of calm companion and quiet adventurer. She’s a homebody at heart who loves relaxing by your side—but she’s always up for a car ride or a peaceful leash walk when you are.

Hurley may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and she’ll melt right into you. Her favorite thing? Wrapping you up in her signature hugs and staying close—whether that’s leaning into you or sneaking near your lap. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate once she trusts you.

💫 The good stuff:
• Spayed, microchipped & fully vaccinated
• Heartworm negative & on ProHeart 12 + NexGard
• Crate trained & potty trained (routine rockstar!)
• Walks beautifully on leash & rides great in the car
• Knows sit, stay, and come
• Quiet overall—with a deep bark when needed

🏡 Her ideal home:
• A calm, loving environment
• Great with larger dogs
• Best with no cats or small dogs
• Does well with elementary-age kids and up
• Would thrive as your one-and-only or with a compatible large dog

Hurley is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention—she earns your heart quietly and completely. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who just wants to love and be near you, she’s been waiting for you.

📍 Meet Hurley at Greenway Animal Clinic
