The past two months have been some of the hardest I’ve ever faced. Many of you don’t know this, but I’ve been very sick and have been trying to work through it because that’s just who I am. I love what I do, I love grooming, and I love seeing all of your amazing pets. But eventually, your body lets you know when it’s time to slow down, and that’s exactly what happened to me.

For the time being, I won’t be grooming on the mobile van. At the moment, I’m unable to drive without someone with me, so I have to take a step back from the road. This wasn’t an easy decision because my mobile clients have become like family, and I truly miss being out there with all of you.

The good news is that I’m not going anywhere. I’ll still be at the salon Monday through Saturday, although I may take an occasional day off as I continue recovering. I’ll still be helping behind the scenes, checking in with clients, supporting the team, and making sure every pet receives the care you’ve come to expect from Hot Dog Grooming.

I also want to give a huge thank you to Leslie, Jose, Eva, and Pedro. They have stepped up in every way possible to take care of our clients and keep everything running while I’ve been focusing on my health. I couldn’t do this without them.

This year has tested me in ways I never imagined, but it’s also reminded me how blessed I am to have such an incredible community behind me. Thank you for every kind message, every prayer, every bit of patience, and every ounce of support you’ve shown me and my business.

Recovery isn’t always quick, but I’m grateful to finally be getting better. It may take a little more time, but I’ll be back stronger than ever.

This is a brand-new Great Pyrenees getting his first professional deshed in our mobile Spaw 🚐🐾

A lot of people think deshedding is ‘just brushing’—it’s not.

Let’s call it like it is:
Shedding isn’t a phase it’s a lifestyle.

If your dog is leaving tumbleweeds of fur everywhere, congrats 🎉 that’s your sign they’re overdue for a proper deshed, not a quick rinse-and-repeat situation.

Here’s the tea ☕️
• Shedding = trapped undercoat
• Trapped undercoat = skin issues + overheating
• Regular deshedding = healthier coat + less fur on your couch

For some of you, I’m familiar.
For some of you, I’m new.
So… let me reintroduce myself.

I started this business at 24 years old with a dream, grit, and more heart than experience. Now, at 40, I’ve gained wisdom, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for what this journey has truly been.

Over the years, I’ve learned more than just grooming.
I’ve learned people.
I’ve built lifelong friendships.
I’ve met incredible dogs and even more incredible humans.

Recently, I’ve been more behind the scenes not because I disappeared, but because life required my attention.
Health challenges, family responsibilities, and motherhood have a way of grounding you and reshaping your priorities.

Being a mother.
Running three businesses.
Showing up for my team, my clients, and my family.

It takes a lot.

This business has been more than a livelihood. It’s been a classroom, a community, and a huge part of who I am. Through every season, you our clients and supporters have stood by us with patience, grace, and loyalty.

For that, I am endlessly grateful.

Thank you for 13 years of trust, support, and love.
