🐾GROOMING TIP🐾
Did you know most dogs actually prefer the Dremel over nail clippers?

I’ve been in this industry for over 14 years, and before that, I grew up in it. With that I’ve seen a lot of change. Filing dogs' nails used to be an add-on and wasn't considered standard or included in your groom price.
Then like a lot of things in the industry opinions changed.

And yay for that! There have been so many dogs over the years that struggle with the very necessary nail-trimming process, and while of course no one thing can be the fix for every dog, skipping the nail clippers when possible and just filling the nails can make a difference. Things such as excessive nail length and aggression of course factor in but I’ve had so many dogs I used to have to muzzle for nails no longer need that.

At Pet de Tails Grooming, your dog's experience and comfort are the number 1 priority, and nail filing is never an add-on. ❤️🛁🐾

Making a difference in a dogs life whether big or small warms my heart and reminds us why we do what we do ❤️🐾. My favorite part of being a one on one home based salon is seeing how anxious dogs flourish here.

There’s none of the hustle and bustle of a corporate high volume salon where the higher ups push groomers to hit numbers whether they are really doable or not. There’s none of that collective pressure that both the dog groomer and the dogs in their care feel. Sometimes burnout gets talked about in this industry and it’s high pressure situations like that that really contribute to it and why so many pet groomers don’t make it in the industry more than 5 years.
While the corporate places are the easiest way for someone to get into the industry it can really be a trial by fire. So if you know someone who started out corporate give them a hug and probably a coffee they deserve it ❤️🐾

On this sleepy Sunday we should all strive to do as much as Hadley and by that I mean we should take naps, eat snacks and demand princess treatment by those around us 🤣🐾❤️

Is your pup a diva like mine? I in fact know some of them are 😜.

Post your favorite sleepy Sunday pictures of your pets so we can all enjoy some cute pups to end our week.
