Dear future supporter:
My name is Josh Mica, founder of POZ Impact, Houston’s first and only 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to offer affordable/discounted auto repair, and co-working spaces for entrepreneurs who identify as LGBTQ+ or HIV+.
A recent AAA survey found that one-third of U.S. drivers cannot afford unexpected auto repairs without going into debt. As you may know, living with HIV and/or identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community can offer unique challenges that further complicate this debt. This led me to create POZ Impact mobile mechanic services to alleviate some of this burden, allowing our patrons to focus on food, housing, medical expenses, and overall well-being.
Since our inception in 2021, we have helped close to 200 Houstonians repair their vehicles at below-average cost. The success of this initiative requires us to evolve and grow. Our next goal is to establish a brick and mortar location. This location will house a mechanic shop for repairs and an office space for our operations. We also hope to offer office space to the community, as well as provide a space for HIV testing and awareness initiatives.
After an extensive search, we have found the ideal location and have raised over $10,000 to put toward the deposit. However, we are still short of $6,800. We are relying on the generosity of donors like you to help us move into our new facility. Your financial contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it the most.
We are excited to offer a range of sponsorship levels to support our work, and we hope that you will consider partnering with us.
