Our F Litter is here! 🥳🥳🥳

Daphne and Sterling welcomed 7 babies overnight on 09/27, 4 boys and 3 girls.

This was Daphne’s first litter, and my mom was the one on baby duty with her all night helping everyone make their arrival. Daphne lives with my mom and we co-own her, so this is a really fun litter for us to get to raise together.

Daphne is doing great, the babies are nursing and settling in, so now the fun begins. We’ll be sharing more photos and individual introductions as everyone grows, and the F Litter theme reveal is coming later. 😏

Look who had come back for a little weekend sleepover 😻

As mentioned in my previous post, Tofino went to his new home last week, and it has been sooo sweet watching the updates from his family as he settles in with his three human siblings. He is just fitting in so well already.

His family had a trip planned shortly after bringing him home, and because he went to a zero-pet household, most importantly with no exposure to other cats, we were able to safely welcome him back into the cattery for the weekend.

That isn’t always something we can do once a kitten has left because of biosecurity and quarantine considerations, but in Tofino’s case it was a safe situation and worked out perfectly.

And I mean… this picture says so much about him. ❤️

Tofino has such a cuddly, social, gentle temperament, and he is exactly the kind of kitten who does so well in a family with kids. Seeing him completely content snuggled up with my newborn is such a good example of why I spend so much time socializing, desensitizing and getting to know each kitten’s personality before they leave us.

Every kitten is different. Some are more independent, some want to be involved in absolutely everything, and some, like Tofino, just seem made for a busy, affectionate family full of little people to love on them. 🥹

I love getting to watch those little personalities unfold as they grow, and just bloom once they’re with their forever home. I love getting to watch those little personalities unfold as they grow. Tofino has always been such an easygoing, people-oriented baby, so seeing him settle in so easily with three kids honestly doesn’t surprise me at all. Watching him with his new family has been such a sweet confirmation that he ended up exactly where he belongs. 🥰

Prince Ben is officially Prince Lucius! ❤️

Our sweet Prince Ben went home last week and is now Prince Lucius, or Lucius for short. His name was chosen in honor of her husband’s favorite cat, Lucius, who passed away several years ago, which makes the name extra special. 🥹

Also, I managed to send him home without getting a picture of him with his new family. 😑 Truly impressive on my part - Yes, I’m disappointed in myself too.

Lucius was always one of our calmer, more observant kittens. He liked to take everything in first, so it’s been really sweet hearing how comfortable and curious he already is in his new home.

His family is giving him time to settle in at his own pace and taking things slowly with their other cats, which suits him really well. He’s exploring, getting comfortable, and already starting to show them the same little personality we got to know here.

He’s also still very much the talker. 😂 His family says he’s pretty vocal and purrs really loudly, which is a change for them since their other three cats are much quieter. That tracks though, because Athena is very vocal and Sterling purrs really loudly too. ❤️

I love getting these first updates and seeing how each kitten settles into their new family. Lucius sounds like he’s doing so well already, and I’m really excited to watch him grow up there. ❤️

Beans is officially home! ❤️

Our sweet Beans is now Tofino, and last week he headed home with his new family and his three human siblings. 😻

He has always been such a social, affectionate boy, so it has been really fun getting updates and watching him settle into family life so quickly.

He is playful, cuddly, easygoing, and just genuinely loves being around people, so I had a feeling he was going to fit right into a busy home with kids.

It is always a little bittersweet when they leave, but seeing how comfortable and loved he already is makes it so much easier. 🥹❤️

Congratulations to Tofino and his family! We are so excited to keep watching him grow.

We’re down to our last two available kittens from our summer litters. 🫶

Mal is our confident, expressive little girl - Playful, independent, and quick to turn on the purrs when she’s getting attention. She has plenty of personality and absolutely knows it.

Fire is our energetic, affectionate boy. He’s all about zoomies, climbing, and playing hard, but once he’s gotten that energy out, he’s incredibly sweet and loves his people.

Both are raised in our home around with lots of handling, socialization, and everyday family life, and are looking for their perfect families.

I’m also a little overdue on sharing Champ’s update, since he’s had his family waiting for him for the last week. ❤️

His family came to us through our waitlist, and again, I’m so grateful for how much grace and patience they have shown me during such a busy season for our family. I normally share more photos, videos, and little updates as our kittens grow, and they have been incredibly understanding while communication has looked a little different than usual.

Champ is our singleton boy from Damsel × Sterling, and he has been such a sweet little guy to watch grow. Because singleton litters can sometimes need a little extra support, we introduced him to Athena and her babies when he was tiny. Athena accepted him immediately, and he grew up right alongside Prince Ben and Mal while still getting time with Damsel. It really gave him the best of both worlds and made sure he had plenty of normal kitten socialization from the beginning. ❤️

Personality-wise, Champ is a confident, affectionate little guy. He seeks people out on his own, loves attention, and is content to relax while being held or carried around. I really think he’s going to be a lap cat just like his mom, Damsel.

He’s generally pretty quiet, but he makes up for it in the way he plays. 😂 Champ plays WAY bigger than he actually is and seems completely unaware that he is the smallest and youngest kitten in the group. He loves the other kittens and throws himself right into whatever they’re doing like he’s exactly the same size as everyone else.

With new things, he tends to fall somewhere between curious and completely unbothered. He’s a really confident, easygoing little boy, and I’m so excited for his family to get to know him.

Thank you again to his family for being so understanding during such an unusual season for my family. I’m so excited for you to finally have Champ home with you. 😻

I normally share far more photos, videos, and little updates as our kittens grow, and life simply has not allowed me to be as communicative as I usually am. They have been incredibly understanding through all of it, and I’m so excited that this beautiful boy is theirs.

Prince Ben is our black smoke boy from Athena × Sterling, and he just keeps getting more handsome. His smoke is developing beautifully, his ears are getting bigger, and his features are becoming more defined as he grows. Personality-wise, he is one of the more mellow, laid-back kittens in the group. He tends to observe first and join in when he feels like it, although when he does decide to play, he plays hard. 😂 He is also more cautious with new people and situations and likes a little time to take everything in.

Prince Ben is affectionate on his own terms. He usually prefers sitting nearby over being held or sitting in a lap, but he absolutely seeks out affection when he wants it and is very sweet about it. He is also fairly vocal and definitely lets you know when he has something to say.

He really seems to be a “stay close to his people” kind of cat, and I think it will be really special to watch that bond develop with his family once he is home. ❤️

Thank you again to his family for being so understanding during such an unusual season for my family. I cannot wait for you to finally have Prince Ben home with you. 😻

This announcement is definitely overdue because Beans has actually been reserved for weeks. 🤭 With everything going on lately, I just never got around to making his official post.

Beans, now Tofino, is going to a very special family who is already connected to the Velvet Paws family. Their close friends are the family of Ace, now Storm, one of our Velvet Paws alumni, so they’ve already gotten to know and love one of our Maine C**ns before bringing Tofino home. ❤️

Tofino is from our Pearl × Prince litter and has always been one of the most laid-back boys in the group. He is affectionate, easygoing, and very happy to just hang out with his people, with just enough orange-cat spice mixed in to keep things entertaining. 😂

I’m so excited for his family and especially love knowing this sweet boy is going to people who already know and love one of our babies.

Peri has officially gone home and is now Ahsoka Tano. ❤️ Ahsoka went to another Houston-area breeder, Kattshyyyk Maine C**ns, and I’m excited to see how she develops in her program.

She has been one of our most easygoing girls from the beginning. She enjoys being held, has a sweet, relaxed personality, and has also always been VERY serious about mealtime.

Ahsoka is from our Pearl × Prince litter.

Her new breeder plans to show her, with her first show currently planned for October in Temple, Texas. I’m especially excited to see one of our homebred kittens represented in the show hall by another program and to follow along with how she does.

I’m excited for Ahsoka’s future and looking forward to watching her grow. ❤️

Our little Razz has officially headed off to her new home with a fellow Houston-area breeder. ❤️ She went to the same breeder our girl Willow came to us from, A Luna Bleu Maine C**n’s.

Razz has had a BIG personality from the beginning. She is confident, curious, and usually the first one to come investigate what is happening or test whether a rule really applies to her. 😂 She has absolutely earned the title of our little girl with tortitude.

She is from our Pearl × Prince litter, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how she continues to develop as she grows.

Sending kittens off is always bittersweet after spending so much time raising them, but I’m excited for Razz’s future and know she’ll be very loved in her new home. ❤️
