Trying to get rid of the stigma of roaches are bad,one person at a time!

Even Splat approves of therapy!

Since I’m sick, I did my therapy session over the phone today, and Splat hung out on my shoulder for the whole thing.

My therapist was totally onboard with it, and honestly, I think having my little dude with me made the whole experience a little better. 🧡🖤

Sometimes self-care is therapy. Sometimes it’s spending time with your favorite critters. And sometimes it’s both! 🧡

SELF-CARE IS COOL, Y’ALL! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES!

Today’s episode of Wrecked Exotics: Nature Is Not for the Weak features a scorpion demonstrating exactly why you don’t mess with the little guys.

And yes, that roach is having a REALLY bad day. 😂

WELCOME TO THE WILD WORLD OF SPLATICUS SPLATORA.

Observe, if you will, this magnificent specimen in his natural habitat.

Splaticus Splatora is a fascinating species of crested gecko, known for his remarkable ability to scale vertical surfaces, launch himself into the void without warning, and stare directly into the human soul while displaying absolutely no discernible thoughts.

Scientists believe this species possesses a single braincell, which migrates between individuals of the genus at random.

Unfortunately, Splaticus appears to have misplaced his.

However, on the rare occasions when the braincell returns, he demonstrates extraordinary feats of intelligence, including recognizing his surroundings, investigating neighboring aquatic life, and remembering precisely where his keeper keeps the good bugs.

Here we see him observing the fish through the glass.

A truly majestic creature. Nature is amazing.

Tomorrow on National Geographic: The Great Splaticus Migration. Will he jump onto the curtain, or directly into the nearest dimension? 💀

“You survived the first incident. That was your warning.”-Tag

Tokay fun fact: They have ridiculously strong bites. Tokays have a reputation for being spicy, and their jaws are no joke. Once they latch on, they can be stubborn about letting go. Their bite force can be around 4pounds,which may not seem like a lot but coming from a gecko with tiny razor sharp teeth…that’s a lot!

💚 A HUGE thank you to her new owner! 💚

This little girl officially went from Illinois to New York today! ✈️ And she arrived perfectly safe, sound, and apparently completely unbothered by her cross-country adventure. 😂 Meanwhile, I was stressing enough for both of us!

And LOOK at her new home! 😍She has an absolutely gorgeous jungle to explore, and I couldn’t be happier with where she landed.

Thank you so much for trusting Wrecked Exotics, supporting me, and giving this sweet girl such an amazing home. It means so much! 🥹💚

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. ❤️

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone at Horror Con who stopped by the Wrecked Exotics table this weekend.

I went into this expo not really knowing what to expect. I was the only exotic animal vendor, surrounded by people I didn’t know, and honestly a little nervous about how everything would go.

And you guys absolutely blew me away.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to look at the animals, asked questions, told me stories, made trades, bought something, or simply stood there and talked to me for a while. Thank you to everyone who loved on Splat, the geckos, the frogs, the bugs, and all the other weird little creatures I dragged along with me.

But more than the sales, trades, and animals, thank you for making me feel welcome.

There were so many genuinely kind people who took the time to introduce themselves, talk to me, encourage me, and make me feel like I belonged there. I came in as the weird exotic animal person and left feeling like I had found a little community.

And to the other vendors, staff, organizers, and everyone who helped make the weekend happen—thank you. You made this experience something I won’t forget.

Wrecked Exotics is still a little weird. We still have bugs. We still have reptiles. We still have questionable decisions. 😂

But now we also have a whole bunch of amazing memories from Horror Con.

Thank you for supporting my tiny, strange, slightly chaotic little business and, more importantly, for supporting me.

I hope I get to see all of you again! 🖤🖤🖤

🐸 PLEASE WELCOME… THE GLENNS! 🐸

Everyone, meet Glenn, Glennifer 1, and Glennifer 2!

These three adorable little chubby frogs have officially joined the Wrecked Exotics chaos, and Glenn has already settled into his new accommodations with the confidence of a man who owns the place.

The introductions went something like:

Glenn: “Hello, ladies. I am Glenn.”
Glennifer 1: …
Glennifer 2: …
Glenn: “Wonderful. I shall now become dirt.”

And he proceeded to immediately bury himself. 😂

They’ve got a nice deep, moist substrate, plenty of leaf litter, cork bark, hides, and a water dish so they can do what chubby frogs do best:

BURROW. EAT. DISAPPEAR. REPEAT.

Welcome to the family, Glenns! ❤️

Although I suspect Glenn will be spending most of his time approximately 3 inches underground wondering why his wives keep looking for him. 😂

Congrats on your new home,Zippy! ❤️❤️❤️
