Today is ’s gotcha day. This little lady has come soooo far and I am soooo proud of her. She was so terrified here and since I was leaving a week later for Europe and would be gone for two months, she went straight to boarding where she further retreated into her fear, never opening up or letting her guard down💔 I knew we had to get her out of boarding but we couldn’t find rescue backing or a foster/adopter so she stayed in boarding for months. When I was finally able to bring her home to our house, I was so excited to go get her. She was unbelievably scared. She hid under a table curled herself into the smallest ball ever in hopes I wouldn’t see her. We had to pick her up to get her to the car and she was so tense and literally vibrating with fear. She pooped when I tried to touch her. She wouldn’t look at me. Once home, she was reunited with her pack mate, Freya (aka warty girl) and that seemed to help a little but she was still so scared of Seth and I. Took months before she would willingly approach me and would only do so if another of the pups were with her. Two years later, she rules this roost. 🥰 she is the leader of the pack and the boys adore her. She loves snuggling with us and gives the sweetest little kisses🥰💋She wants love and no longer hesitates to DEMAND it! Definitely still a nervous Nelly. Takes her awhile to get used to new folks and she will still flinch or run if there’s a loud noise or someone moves a little too quick for her liking but overall, she has made so much progress. She is available for adoption and will transport to lower 48 for right adopter See comments for photos of her now, no lack of confidence here❤️😂
