If your pet was microchipped at a shelter or another facility you might want to double check it's registration. The microchip company Save This Life closed last year and all the pet info registered with them was lost. If the chip registration no longer exists, then the microchip will not work in getting pets back home where they belong.

Linked below is an AVMA article that includes info for microchip look up. You will need your pet's microchip number to confirm that it is registered with an active registry. For your pet's microchip number refer back to your adoption paperwork or vet records. You can also bring your pet to the nearest vet clinic to have them scanned for the number.

If your pet's microchip is not registered you are able to register it with any of the other company registries (fees vary depending on which you choose).

Pet's microchipped at our clinic should all be fine as we use a different company. However, if you want to ever double check your registration or have the chip we would be more than happy to help.

Recent reports of the abrupt closure of pet microchip company Save This Life has prompted calls for pet owners to reregister their chipped pets.

ATTENTION:
As the winter weather approaches, we will make every reasonable effort to be open. However, for the safety of our staff, clients, and patients the clinic may remain closed or open late Monday January 23rd pending road and power conditions.

If the clinic is closed due to weather, staff will be monitoring voicemails, text messages, and emails for any questions that can be handled off site.

This year we decided to surprise Dr. Eikenhorst with a gift that was from the heart, a gift that was a little more personal and fun.

Now that Dr. Eikenhorst has received his gift, we are excited to share it with you all as well. We did our very own Awkward JCPenney Photoshoot that we turned into a calendar for him.
