🐾 Stages of Henry Playing Opossum When He Hears Thunder 🌩️

Step 1: Hear one tiny rumble in the distance… Immediately reduce walking speed. Act casual. The human must not suspect the plan.

Step 2: Emergency flop. Hit the brakes without warning and become one with the sidewalk.

Step 3: Roll over and expose the belly. Maximum vulnerability. Maybe they’ll feel guilty enough to carry you home.

Step 4: Commit to the performance. Tongue out. Eyes half closed. Really sell the “I simply cannot continue” storyline.

Final Step: As soon as the human gives up… magically recover and sprint home like nothing ever happened. Mission accomplished. Avoided walking in the rain. Earned post-walk treats. 10/10 performance. 🎭🐟

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. My heart is so incredibly full after yesterday. ❤️

To every single person who took time out of your day to celebrate 10 years of Jenevi’s Pet Services with me… thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Whether you’ve been with me since the very beginning, joined somewhere along the way, are one of my incredible clients, one of my amazing employees, a fellow Houston-area pet sitter who stopped by to show your support, or one of my wonderful friends and family members, seeing each and every one of you meant more than I could ever put into words.

I also want to give a very special thank you to my family and friends who spent countless hours helping bring this celebration to life. From making decorations and treats, to helping me prepare in the weeks leading up to the event, setting everything up, breaking everything down, and jumping in wherever help was needed—you helped make this day possible. So much of what everyone saw was because of your love, time, and hard work behind the scenes, and I am more grateful than you’ll ever know.

To my fellow Houston-area pet sitters, thank you for taking time out of your own busy schedules to come celebrate with me. Your support was such a beautiful reminder that this community is built on relationships, encouragement, and lifting one another up. It meant so much to have you there.

Thank you for every hug, every conversation, every thoughtful gift, every card, and every kind word. Your generosity and thoughtfulness truly brought me to tears. I never expected to receive so much love, and I will cherish every bit of it forever.

Ten years ago, I took a leap of faith and followed what I truly believe God had placed on my heart. There have been moments of uncertainty, challenges that made me question myself, and days that tested me in ways I never imagined. But through it all, God continued to open doors, provide exactly what I needed, surround me with incredible people, and remind me that this was exactly where I was meant to be. Looking around yesterday at all of your smiling faces, I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for how faithful He’s been through every step of this journey.

Jenevi’s Pet Services started as a dream, but because of all of you, it has become so much more than a business—it has become a family. You’ve trusted me with your homes, your pets, and so many important moments in your lives. That trust is something I will never take for granted, and it’s a privilege I carry with me every single day.

Ten years feels like such an incredible milestone, but I truly believe the best is still ahead. Thank you for believing in me, supporting my small business, encouraging me through the highs and lows, and helping make this journey everything it has been.

Here’s to the next chapter. I hope we’ll all be together celebrating the 20th anniversary one day. Until then, I promise to continue caring for your pets as if they were my own, serving this community with all my heart, and thanking God every day for leading me to this incredible calling.

10 years.

It’s hard to put into words what that means.

Over the past decade, we’ve cared for puppies who are now seniors, welcomed new pets into families, celebrated milestones, comforted clients through difficult losses, and created friendships that go far beyond pet care.

As I looked through old photos, I found so many memories from the past 10 years. I’ve shared a few here if you’d like to swipe through and reminisce with me.

There have been incredible highs, difficult challenges, and countless memories in between. Through it all, one thing has remained the same: the trust you’ve placed in us to care for your beloved pets.

As we get closer to our anniversary celebration this Saturday, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your support, your referrals, your kindness, and for allowing us to be part of your pets’ lives.

We hope you’ll join us on June 27th as we celebrate 10 amazing years together.
