🐾 A Small Policy Update — Late Pickups 🐾

I’m making a small but important update to my service agreement regarding late pickups.

As many of you know, Big Dream Dog Grooming is a one-on-one grooming salon, and I am the only person working here. When I finish your dog’s groom, my workday doesn’t necessarily end there — I still have a family, responsibilities, and a life outside of taking care of your beauties. ❤️

Lately, I’ve had too many instances where dogs are finished and their owners take significantly longer than expected to pick them up, leaving me waiting at the salon well past the end of my scheduled workday, or unable to take a lunch break.

I completely understand that things happen and that delays can occasionally occur. What isn’t reasonable is expecting me to routinely wait around indefinitely after working a full day. My time is valuable too, and I need to be able to close up and leave when my workday is over.

Going forward:

As always, you will receive a time estimate when you drop off.

🐶 You will receive a text when your dog is ready for pickup.
⏰ Please plan to pick up your dog within 30 minutes of receiving that notification, unless we have arranged something different ahead of time.
💰 A late pickup fee will apply after the 30-minute pickup window, with additional fees for pickups extending beyond my normal business hours.
📱 If you know you’re going to be delayed, please communicate with me as soon as possible.

This policy isn’t intended to be harsh or inconvenient. It’s simply a boundary that allows me to respect my own time while continuing to provide the one-on-one service and care that you expect.

All existing clients will be required to sign a short addendum to the service agreement acknowledging this updated policy before their next appointment. This will be provided to you ahead of your next scheduled groom.

I truly appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation! I love what I do and I love taking care of your dogs — but at the end of the day, I’m exhausted and I want to see my family- and I deserve that.
