Today I had the privilege of returning Sir Gregory to a very special lady.
When I was first asked to take on this project, I was so very much against it. Taxidermy is challenging enough, even more so on such a small subject. Knowing that Sir Gregory was a beloved pet made the responsibility even greater.
But I’m incredibly grateful that I stepped outside my comfort zone and accepted the challenge. Seeing the smile on this ladies face with the final project made it so worthwhile.
I began learning taxidermy about two years ago, driven by my passion for hunting and a desire to find a meaningful hobby in retirement. What I never expected was how rewarding the journey would become. Projects like this remind me that taxidermy is about much more than preservation—it’s about honoring the hunt, the memories and the connections make with the people we meet along the way.
Ms. Jackie, thank you for your trust, your patience, and your persistence in convincing me to take on this special project.
My business tagline is “Preserving Memories.” Today, I had the opportunity to fulfill that promise in a very meaningful way.
