Today is a special day for Bosley! It’s his 2nd gotcha day. We adopted him after he was rescued from Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas. He has brought so much love, cuddles and spirit to our home. Remember, rescue is the way to go! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some of the precious hounds who come into our rescue have significant medical needs or age-related conditions that make traditional adoption difficult. These special dogs become part of our Sanctuary Hound Program, where they remain in the loving care of their foster families.

Our dedicated fosters provide the love, companionship, and comfort these hounds deserve, while Basset Buddies continues to support their veterinary care and medical needs.

🐾 SENIOR SWEETHEART SEEKING HIS FOREVER HOME 🐾

Meet Walter, a sweet and loving 8-year-old Basset Hound who is looking for a very special person to love him for the rest of his life. ❤️

Walter absolutely loves being with his people. Because he has separation anxiety, his ideal pawrent would be someone who is retired, works from home, or is home most of the time. When his people leave, Walter isn't shy about expressing his feelings—and like any good Basset, he can be VERY verbal about it! 📣🐶 For that reason, Walter needs a single-family home, where his Basset commentary won't disturb close neighbors.

Walter also needs at least one other dog in the home to keep him company and help him feel secure.

At 8 years young, Walter isn't asking for much. He just wants companionship, security, and someone who will be there to love him for the rest of his life. In return, you'll have the devotion and affection of one very special Basset boy. ❤️

🍔🐾 IT’S NATIONAL DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER DAY! 🐾🍔

And really… what hound doesn’t appreciate a good ol’ cheeseburger?! Those noses can detect one from approximately three counties away. 😂👃🍔

Speaking of cheeseburgers, Basset Buddies is back at Mel’s Country Café in Tomball! ❤️🐶
