Everyone wish Talli a fast TPLO surgery recovery!

You may have noticed us posting less recently. Our transport side of things is running well with small to medium dogs that are saved from the shelter, and typically transport easily. Then we all have a handful of dogs that we’ve had for many years without finding adopters.

Talli is one of them. She’s on her second surgery and she will never be forgotten. Talli is in a loving foster home that remains dedicated while we look for an adopter. It’s expensive to care for dogs through all their needs, on going, year over year. But we will never give up hope un the right app comes across our desk.

Barbie and Chloe are both in foster homes after years in boarding. They've always had access to engaging play with other dogs, and a yard to run around in.

Chloe has been in a foster home since last August, and Barbie since the end of the year.

We are so happy their journey from the street, to the shelter, to boarding has now, finally landed them in comfy homes. Both girls came in to the shelter together between 6 months and a year old. Now they're adults.

Help us help each of them transition a final time into a final home.

We’re working really hard to manifest this being the year Riley gets adopted! This good boy is great company out for a burger or walking the neighborhood.

Riley has been in boarding for waaaayyyy longer than we want (and by longer we mean years). He is the model dog when others come in for training, gets lots of play time with other dogs, and is very loved.

If you feel upset he’s been in boarding so long, then help us out. Share this post. Help us find an adopter for him. Help us find a foster. Help us find a foster failer.

Merry Christmas from the Forgotten Coast 6 long-stay dogs looking for their forever homes! Our goal in 2026 is that every single one of these faces gets adopted into a home perfect for them.

As you may have seen, Petfinder is having BIG outages. Normally, our dogs bios are on our website supported through a PetFinder widget. With that broken, we're looking into new web designs to work around it! In the mean time, please SHARE this post that has each dog's bio under their picture!

Big boy Miles is wondering what you’re doing for the holidays? Miles would love a chance to make a good impression on an experienced family looking to add a dog to their life! This guy is hunky, full of love, has a great obedience baseline and just wants to share some drool and the leftover stuffing from the stuffed toys he loves destroying!

Miles has been in boarding (with a devoted trainer and lots of room to explore) for several years and is ready for a new chance at forever.

Let’s talk about why walks matter as part of your dog’s routine.

You may be thinking, “But I have a backyard!” Here’s the thing: even dogs with yards need regular walks. While backyards are great for potty breaks and playtime, walks offer something different.

When dogs walk, they get to engage their minds through sniffing and exploring new environments. Those sniffs aren’t just cute. Sniffing is how they gather information about the world around them! It’s mentally stimulating and is so good for them to engage their brain in different ways than just in their same familiar yard.

Walks can also be part of strengthening your bond, providing important socialization, and helping burn off energy in a structured way.

Pictured you’ll see Chloe, one of our adoptable dogs, out for her weekend stroll at Hermann Park with her foster. Chloe walks great on a leash and no matter if it’s a trip around the neighborhood block or a trip to the park, she loves to stop and smell everything.

We have seen a steep decline this year in fosters, and even adoption activity is down too. Barbie girl is waiting for a foster or adopter! She is a sweet girl that we would love to see go into a home permanently. She has been waiting years, and we just don't know how to reach a new audience for her anymore.

We are so thankful to be on this list! PetSet has always been a large part of why we can be successful. They’ve helped us with so many spays and neuters for our BARC pulls.

Sweet Inrgid has been saved from BARC along with her puppies! We're happy to share she's safe in foster now and will never have to worry about her life again.
