We have something very special to celebrate today at South Post Oak. ❤️🐾

Dr. Patrick Choyce has been honored through the Dr. Patrick D. Choyce ’80 Endowed Scholarship at Texas A&M University. The scholarship celebrates Dr. Choyce’s lifetime of dedication to caring for animals and the people who love them while helping support the next generation of Aggie veterinary medicine students. 🩵

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects what so many of our clients and team members already know about Dr. Choyce. His impact goes far beyond the exam room. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to his patients, their families, his team, and the future of veterinary medicine. 💙

The gift was made by Capt. David B. Adler ’82 in honor of Dr. Choyce and in memory of Polly Adler, whose love for animals continues to leave a lasting legacy.

Lucas the Maltipoo came in for his one year vaccines and was as happy as could be for his big milestone visit 🐾🩵🐶❤️

We are pretty sure this kitty looked directly into our souls... and honestly, we didn't stand a chance. 👀🐱🩵❤️

Those big eyes had everyone at the clinic stopping for a moment. Cats have a way of saying so much without making a sound, and this sweet face definitely had our full attention 💙

A comfortable carrier can make a big difference during veterinary visits by helping your cat feel safe and secure while traveling. Bringing along a favorite blanket or towel can make the trip even less stressful 🧡🐾

Yoshi the Yorkie found the perfect spot for his visit... right up on a shoulder soaking up all the snuggles 🐾🩵🐶❤️ With a face that cute, it's no surprise he had everyone wrapped around his tiny paw.

Yorkshire Terriers may be little, but they are known for their big personalities and love being close to their favorite people. That close bond is one of the many reasons they make such wonderful companions 💙

Petra the Miniature Schnauzer came in after getting a laceration, and we're so glad her family had her checked out right away 🐾🩵🐶❤️

Cuts and lacerations may look minor on the surface, but they can hide deeper tissue damage or become infected if left untreated. Having wounds evaluated early helps your pet heal more comfortably and can reduce the risk of complications 💙

Fun fact about Miniature Schnauzers... they are known for their distinctive beards and eyebrows, but they were originally bred in Germany as hardworking farm dogs to help control rodents. Today, they're loved for their intelligence, confidence, and spirited personalities 🧡🐾

Ms. Daisy came in for her vaccines looking as sweet as ever 🐾🩵🐶❤️ At 8 years old, this beautiful little chihuahua is entering her senior years, and she is proof that growing older can be just as adorable!!!

Did you know that many dogs are considered seniors around 7 years of age? While the exact age depends on breed and size, senior pets benefit from more frequent wellness visits because changes in their health can happen gradually and may not be obvious at home 💙 Regular exams give your veterinary team the opportunity to catch concerns early, monitor ongoing conditions, and help keep your pet happy and comfortable for years to come.

Lady came in for a sick visit, and we have to ask... does she not look just like Lady from Lady and the Tramp? 🐾🩵🐶❤️ We couldn't get over those sweet eyes and those beautiful Cocker Spaniel ears!

Even though she wasn't feeling her best, her family did the right thing by bringing her in to be evaluated. Pets often hide when they're sick, so if you notice changes in their appetite, energy level, breathing, or behavior, it's always a good idea to have them checked before a small problem becomes a bigger one 💙

We're wishing this sweet girl a speedy recovery and plenty of tail wags ahead 🧡🐾

Anani came in for her kitten vaccines at just 10 weeks old, and she could not have been any cuter 🐾🩵🐱❤️

The first few months of a kitten's life are an important time for building immunity. Kittens are born with temporary protection from their mother, but that protection fades over time. A series of vaccines helps their own immune system develop the defenses they need to stay healthy as they grow and explore the world around them 💙
