Today is such a bittersweet day for us. Bitter because it's Leona and Joe's last day in the office. Sweet because they have earned this next chapter more than anyone I know.
Although they will continue to be involved with You Lucky Dog remotely, it will feel very different without them here in person as they enter semi-retirement.
For 20 years, Leona and Joe have been the face of You Lucky Dog. We have clients who will miss them immensely—some even shedding tears when they hear the news. The dogs will notice, too. But nobody will miss them more than I will.
Leona and Joe have worked tirelessly to help make You Lucky Dog what it is today. Our reputation, our ratings, our client satisfaction, and our safe, comfortable, and fun facility have all been shaped by their years of dedication, hard work, and care.
Leona and Joe, I thank you from the bottom of my heart—more than words can ever express—for everything you have done for You Lucky Dog and for me personally. I am so happy and excited for your new adventure in North Carolina. What a beautiful place to begin this next chapter!

To our wonderful pet parents, Leona and Joe will continue to work part-time for You Lucky Dog remotely. Leona will continue to answer phones, respond to emails, and help with other important administrative activities. Joe will continue to provide guidance and input on pet resort operations, and on daycare, groupplay and boarding activities.
