Stray Cat Mother Gives Away Baby, Gives Kitten A Home

The fact that after however long trying to coax mama to say hi after relinquishing her kit, this young lady understood "she wants to see her baby" is a level of empathy and understanding that I wish I saw more often.

And the bond between cat, human and kitten is a beautiful nature/nurture example. A stray cat who recognises a different species could protect her baby better.

The first time I met that cat, the little guy was rummaging through a trash can—one of the few places where a stray cat can find food. It was very thin back then, covered in dirt.

Feeling sorry for it, I bought a sausage and tossed it over from a distance. I accidentally hit it, and the little one sprang up in fright. But when it realized it was a sausage, it immediately grabbed it and ran off without looking back.

He begged for food, for his dog... a piece of his own soul.

No one paid him any attention... no one cared about his tears.

Erica looked at him with deep sadness.

And rushed to his aid.

In today's video, we're sharing the incredible and heartwarming story of Phoenix, a brave cat who defied the odds and embarked on a remarkable journey of recovery after a devastating accident. His name represents resilience and his strong will despite the adversity in front of him.

Phoenix's journey began tragically. After a horrific accident, he was found by a compassionate taxi driver who quickly rushed him to a nearby shelter. There, it didn’t take long for the veterinarians to take action, performing X-rays and conducting a series of tests to assess his condition. Phoenix was in bad shape: he had pus, couldn't breathe through his nose, and was unable to lift his head.

A CT scan was scheduled to determine the best course of treatment. In the meantime, the shelter staff gave him a name fitting his spirit—Phoenix. The specialists discovered that his jaw couldn’t close due to dental issues, but the real challenge was his facial nerve damage. Phoenix had no sensitivity in his face, no sense of smell, and no vision.

An appointment with an ophthalmologist confirmed the grim reality: restoring Phoenix's eyesight was unlikely. Follow-up tests in various labs revealed another complication—Phoenix had a severe allergy, leading to an immunosuppressive state. Despite these challenges, his caretaker remained hopeful and dedicated to his recovery.
