Solid Nerves out weighs solid weight Any day.
Out of the thousands of calls I get yearly inquiring for our puppies the one question that forever stick out with us is.

1)Will this puppy be excellent with our family?

The answer is emphatically yes!
Of course I get questions on colors, weight, and even sometimes health. All of these questions are good but to us the one question, “Will this puppy be excellent with our family” stands hands and shoulders above the rest.

I mean if we get you the right color but wrong temperament then we have failed you. If we get the correct health but wrong temperament we have failed you. If we get you the correct weight but wrong temperament we have failed you.
Who cares about a cute heavy healthy dog that is skidding around the grand babies or elderly? “No one!”

At the end of the day a solid nerved traditional bred corso brings unlimited joy to the family that is blessed to own him for a plethora of reasons. Of the innumerable reasons of which a traditional bred new wave pup is a blessing, I will share with you one. “This puppy is bred specifically for family.”
To recieve a picture of our puppy laying down with a sick child is worth ten million times more than our puppies going to a show ring to dance around displaying medals from their anatomy and not their character.

Before Taking A “Drive” to Select your new puppy decide which “Drive” you are taking back home with you!

Most canine behavior experts and trainers focus on three main instinctual drives that every dog inherits

Prey Drive: The innate urge to chase, stalk, capture, and sometimes kill moving objects (like balls, cats, or squirrels).

Pack (or Social) Drive: The desire to connect, cooperate, and follow leadership within a group or with human family members.

Defense Drive: The instinct for self-preservation, which triggers a fight, flight, or freeze response when the dog feels threatened or needs to protect its territory.

The traditional Corso can be selected one or more of these drives.

However, the skilled breeder knows that selecting for everything only causes the dogs to become less than average in each department.

The puppy in this video is displaying more defense drive which is what the family looked for when they selected their pup
