Closing at 3 today (Friday, 9/4) as well for the long weekend.

We weren’t hungry enough for the full Olive Garden, so we ordered take away (giant salad and 12 bread sticks are only $25!). We will go for late lunch on Sunday, expect updates on amounts eaten on Tuesday.

Two schedule changes for tomorrow (9/3) and Monday (9/7).

Tomorrow we are closing at 3pm.
Monday we are closed all day, no Labor on Labor Day!

Thursday is Dr. Heitzman and my anniversary. We celebrate this one by going to Olive Garden for Never Ending Pasta Bowl. We had gone every year until the picture below. Then kids (not fun at restaurants). Now that they are (much) older, we plan trying it again. My first few years I had some records for number of bowls, 11 I think. The last time it was a pathetic 3. I'll let you know how I fair, and give an updated picture.

It’s Ginger Cat Appreciation Day!

Orange cats have a well-earned reputation for big personalities - vocal, food-motivated, and endlessly photogenic. Scooter says hi, and to enjoy his handsome photos! Looking for a good home! Asparagus (Gus Gus for short) was dropped off by a client two weeks ago. They had found him in the road while driving. He lives at the clinic during the day and with us, the Heitzmans in the evenings.

He has some sight in his right eye. He has amazing litterbox skills, some that our own cats do not. He loves snuggles, but also plays like a crazy kitten. Any thing that makes a sound is a good toy. His current favorites are a plastic pen, an empty gummy packet, a cat collar with a bell on it, and a paper ball.

Our house is full of hair and animals. Please please come get Gus so that he can learn a new home and find his forever home 💞🐾

Today is National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day 🐱 — and it's a good reminder that cats are masters at hiding when something's wrong. In the wild, showing weakness makes them a target, so that instinct doesn't just switch off because they live on your couch.

Even "perfectly healthy" indoor cats should be seen once a year. Subtle changes we watch for include: eating or drinking more or less than usual, hiding more than normal, changes in litter box habits, and weight loss or gain.

If it's been over a year since your cat's last checkup, let's get them on the books. 📅 Call us or send a message to schedule.

We are closing at 4 pm today, Friday August 21st. We are all getting used to send our kids back this school year!

Dropped the ball in sharing this over the weekend, but it is still very important. Make sure to have your microchip checked! And double check your information is up to date 🤞🏼

On , we're sharing a few important reminders on the importance of microchips:
➡ 1 in 3 family pets will get lost
➡ Microchipped dogs are more than twice as likely to be returned to their owners and microchipped cats are more than 20 times as likely to be returned to their owners

You may have notice some changes in our social medial over the past few months. We had been using an amazing company to help us, but I've tighten our purse strings and have had to do it on my own. I learned some amazing skills while away on our AVMA conference trip this summer and have tried being consistent. Let me know if you have any comments or notes! - Jess

Look at those young kids!

Dr. Heitzman and Jess will be celebrating their 22nd anniversary tomorrow May 22nd!

Thanks to the already long weekend we will be closed tomorrow and Monday the 26th.
