Bust out the SPF 100 because I bring my own sunshine! I'm Louie and I've got good news: you and I are in love.
Sure, sure - I get that you haven't met me yet and you may not be fully on board. But, given that I've never once had an interaction with a human that DIDN'T result in mutual adoration, I think it's safe to assume that trend will hold.
And why not? I'm adorable. I'm happy. I'm a sweet, friendly, very good boy. I love to play with other dogs, love to go for walks, and love... well, everything! I haven't lived with cats, so I don't know yet what I think of them.
I'm about two years old and my previous humans say- to nobody's surprise- I'm housebroken and have pretty good house manners. I'm around the 60-lb range and have the kind of energy you would expect from a young dog, so I'm hoping to find a family who will do stuff with me: play with me, take me places... y'know. Treat me like a family member!

My name is Panic! It made more sense then my sister was here and we were Panic and Disco, but she's been adopted, so... now I have to explain it every time. The funny thing is, I'm actually really chill for a kitten. If "Panic" weren't my name, it wouldn't even be in my vocabulary! I'm not scared of anything. I'm more like Curiosity! In The Cat Donut or Sleepiness! On The Counter.
Anyway, like any shelter cat, what I'm hoping for is Contentment! In A Home. And I'm not picky! I'm great with other cats (I would love to have a friend I can wrestle with) and am curious about dogs. Feeling depresso? You need Espresso! I don't know about you, but I like my dogs like I like my coffee: short, black, and zippy. Or, in the case of Espresso, mostly black, but with subtle streaks of gold. She's fancy that way.
Espresso won't just wake you up. She'll get you moving and put a smile on your face! She's about three years old and 39 lb: the perfect little shot of awesome. She's happy, snuggly, and wants to be friends with everybody. She loves her walks and playtime. Since she came to us as a stray, we don't know a lot about her history or home habits, so whoever takes her should be prepared to do some training if she needs it (and prepared to be pleasantly surprised if she doesn't).
Espresso goes with other dogs like coffee goes with salsa con queso. That is... we're not saying it could NEVER work. But it's not a natural combination. As for cats, she hasn't met them, so we don't know yet.

Have you ever known someone who just can't seem to live down something that they did as a kid? Like, they're a 46 year old divorced orthopedic surgeon with a mortgage, but their friends still call them "Ramen Noodle" because of an unfortunate hair experiment freshman year of high school.
I relate to that. It's not that people call me by a nickname. They generally call me Blossom, which is my name. It's bigger than that. See, I'm eight months old now. Basically a teenager in cat years. And I've been in the shelter since I was an itty-bitty baby. Back, then, my whole litter was a bit apprehensive around people, especially strangers.
So now, it's still "Oh, Blossom? She's kinda shy," even though I grew out of that like... months ago. Who you callin' shy? Certainly not the little gray and white girl who hangs out right in the front entryway and walks up to friends and strangers alike looking for attention. Not the girl who loves being petted and getting cheek scratches and playing with toys.
Still, though... in spite of my cuteness, my bravery, and the fact that I'm awesome with other cats, I've spent almost my entire life waiting... and waiting... and waiting for someone to give me a chance. I mean, look how far I've come in a shelter setting. Imagine where I'll go once I'm in a home, where it's safe, quiet, away from the public, and I get a whole family of my own!
So maybe that's what I need: a fresh start and a new reputation. Come check me out and we'll see if we want to make it official!

Guess what, Boogie fans?! We've got a BOOGIE UPDATE! And it's the one we've all been waiting and hoping for!
Today, after 490 days of waiting, Boogie got adopted! We wish him and his new humans all the best and a lifetime of love and happiness!

Weekend Roundup! Yes, after nearly 500 days in the shelter, Boogie is still here and still waiting. He still loves hanging out in volunteers' laps and patrolling the halls on his nights out. He's still an awesome cat who deserves an awesome home! He needs to be an only pet (no cats, no dogs). His adoption fee is sponsored, so he's available for adoption at no cost to the adopter after a normal application process.

Weekend Roundup! Can you believe this adorable boy is still here? Neo is so much fun, so sweet, and so joyful! He's shy at first, but he warms up quickly (especially if there's another dog around to show him the ropes) and then is very affectionate.

What's my story? Well, here's the prologue: When I was little, my human was an unhoused man. He wanted to keep me, but had a hard time taking care of me, so a lady we didn't know offered to help. She got me neutered and got my shots taken care of, but was never able to get in touch with my original human again. After a few months of trying (and teaching me house manners), she brought me here to the shelter to give me the chance to find a permanent home.
One thing you need to know about me before you come and meet me is that I'm a bit of a sensitive boy. It takes me a moment to get used to new people before I really trust them and want them to touch me. I know that, if this all goes well and you choose me, we'll spend many years being best friends. But right now, we're strangers. I hope I can find someone who will grant me a little patience. I'm worth the time. Once I start to trust you, I'm heart-meltingly gentle and snuggly!
I might be a little timid around new people, but dogs are a different story. When I meet a dog friend, it's like the sun comes out! I LOVE to play with other dogs and would love to find a home with a dog sibling who can show me the ropes.
I have lived with cats, but... I'm a little too interested in them. I would probably do best in a cat-free home, at least for now.

Woop Woop! We've waited a long time for this! Back in the spring, a nasty storm took out the fencing in our back dog yards, and we asked for your help to rebuild. Well, the wait is over- it's fence time! Let's go out and play!

I look like a pretty distinguished gentleman, don't I? Like I could be the logo to some kind of craft beer brand. But it's all a lie!
My government name is Riff Raff, but my foster mom calls me Bosco. And if you were going to describe me in three words, "dignified" would not be one of them.
I'm about 35 pounds. Short and squat and kind of a wrinkly, gassy, hot mess. Let's be honest: dogs like me are not bred for our genius or structural integrity. We're supposed to be cute and lovable. And at that, I'm a huge success!
I'm about 3-5 years old. I don't know exactly because I was found as a stinky, underfed stray, and I didn't have a birth certificate. So it's all a guess! I'm feeling a lot better now, especially after spending some time in foster.
I've learned that I'm a very cuddly and goofy boy. I love to play, but I'm not exactly an etiquette expert. If you want me to have perfect manners, you'll have to be willing to teach me.
I'd do best in a home with no other dogs, but I do just fine with cats! I've lived with a bunch of them and gotten along great. I'm famous for never letting anyone do anything alone. I may not be helpful, but I do want to be involved! Overall, I'm a really good boy and I know there are plenty of people out there who want a dog just like me.
