🌟🐾 Patient Spot Light 🐾🌟

This sweet girl is Paisley, and she was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Dr.Megan and her parents are working hard to manage her glucose levels, symptoms, and overall health, and they are moving in the right direction!

Just like people, dogs and cats can develop diabetes, a condition that affects how the body regulates blood sugar. Early detection and treatment can help diabetic pets live happy, healthy lives.

Some common signs of diabetes in pets include:
💧 Increased thirst
🚽 Increased urination
🍽️ Increased appetite
⚖️ Weight loss despite eating normally
😴 Lethargy or decreased energy
👀 Cloudy eyes (especially in dogs)

If you notice any of these symptoms, don’t wait to have your pet evaluated. Diabetes can often be managed successfully with proper veterinary care, diet, and medication.

Regular wellness exams and bloodwork can help detect health issues early and keep your furry family members feeling their best.
