🐾 MEET OUR BARK BRIGADE 🐾

We keep seeing the same familiar faces, and honestly… that breaks our hearts. ❤️‍🩹

Two of our sweet dogs have been here since late March — almost 200 DAYS in a shelter kennel.

Yes, they get outside time. Yes, they get plenty of love. But they still dream of something more… a couch to curl up on, a yard to run in, a family to call their own, and a quiet place to finally feel safe.

If you’re considering adoption, please remember the 3-3-3 rule applies to dogs too.
3 Days / 3 Weeks / 3 Months

🐕Give them time to decompress and adjust.
🐩Keep the first week or two calm, limit visitors and loud noises, establish a routine,
🐕‍🦺Let them explore and sniff their new surroundings.
🦮If you have another dog, introduce them in a neutral location.

They may need time to become the dog they were always meant to be. Please be patient. Please give them a chance.

Shelter dogs have SO much love to give, and some of the best companions are waiting behind kennel doors right now.

🐈 Everyone, meet the Cat Crew! 🐈‍⬛

We have a few newer faces and a few familiar faces, but all of these faces are precious! ❤️
Each kitty has their own personality, quirks, and different requirements for adoption. But most importantly, they all have one thing in common: they need to bust out of the shelter and find a loving forever home!

When adopting, please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
🐈 3 days to decompress and begin feeling safe
🐈‍⬛ 3 weeks to learn your routine and adjust to their new life
🐈 3 months to truly feel at home

Adoption isn't always easy for these cats.
Many of them were born on the streets and were suddenly brought into a shelter, sometimes experiencing human interaction for the very first time. They finally become comfortable and trusting with a few familiar people here at the shelter, only to leave and enter a home filled with new sights, sounds, smells, and people.
That is A LOT for a cat to process. 💙

So, if you adopt one of our kitties and they don't immediately curl up in your lap or act like they've known you forever, please, please don't give up on them. 🙏🏽 They will come around. It may just take some time. Give them patience. Give them kindness. Give them a safe place to decompress. And most of all, give them some love. 🩷 Because underneath that scared, shy, or unsure exterior, is a cat who is just waiting to feel safe enough to show you who they really are.

Ollie is a very sweet 5-6 month old shepherd mix (our best guess) who is ready to find his forever family!
This boy is still learning all the ways of life, and sadly that life is being spent at the shelter. Ollie is such an affectionate and funny boy who just wants someone to call his best friend.

Stray Alert!!!
Are you missing this beautiful male shepherd mix puppy? He was brought into the shelter the end of last week. This sweet boy was found on Rt 220.
