Yesterday we had some good adoptions!!

A cat went home and two dogs were adopted together!!!

We did have 6 dogs enter the facility. Please contact us monday if any of the 3 strays are yours.

Our community pantry helped 8 families.

Lets make next week AMAZING and plan on coming to visit us to adopt!!

**All agency assists which we post, we need an owner to contact us immediately if we haven't already spoken to you, or if you have information regarding them: please contact us.

Meet Zack (blk&wht) lab mix and Helga, a larger Jack Russell mix. Both dogs are 1 year old and do not need to be adopted together. They both need a very caring home and need lots of TLC. They are very timid and frightened.

Volunteers are working with them to come out of their shell and trust people.

Come visit them in kennel #28.

💫The first 9 dogs over 6 months of age adopted today are sponsored!
(Not including pitbulls as they must go through a rescue.)

Sandy is needing to be adopted! She is over a year old and weighs 35 pounds. This hound mix is full of energy and loves to run and play. She needs work on the leash as she does tug. Sandy would make a great running buddy.

Today we had 10 animals enter the facility.

With 3 dogs adopted. All three were the dachshunds. One asked for no photo.

All we can do is show our dogs and ask for adopters or rescue pulls. We cant force owners to be responsible. But we enforce the city and county ordinances to the best of our ability. We cant make the economy cheaper to own a pet. But we do offer a free community pantry to Garland County citizens once every 60 days. We also have an in house vet who is here once or twice a week for spays and neuters of our adopted animals.

We are a team of 9 people serving Garland County. Not just the city limits. We are currently down one officer. We have applications open currently. If you're interested in joining our team go to www.cityhs.net and scroll down to jobs. We need someone motivated and not scared to work hard and must be an animal lover.

This is not an easy career but we are all proud to serve our community.
